Duryodhana was profoundly distraught and insecure about his power in relation to the Pandavas who had established themselves in every way that he wished to crush their power, wreck their prosperity and deprive them of happiness through any means he could. His constant suicidal threats actually do fit into that perception though they are probably over exaggerating Duryodhans depression phase in that starbharat way of theirs

Yeah and what was all that bellowing?! I half expected a bull to come charging in from round the corner while Duri brat errr...I mean baccha😆 was setting the palace alight. And when that didn't happen...I imagined Karna, Shaku mamu etc running round after Duri, dodging flames...each with a giant dummy in their hands...trying to catch Duri and shove it in is mouth.😆

As for Shauk mamu's half tingg...how i get an itchy finger...each time he does it..."STAB!!!"😈 😆

Yes,agree.This shows Duryodhan's insecurity,jealousy and his desperation for power and how far he can go to achieve them by any means.
