Okay, just saw the Shastraharan episode, and it was really Duryodhan's one today. So many things I liked about him:
- Him knocking off Shakuni when the latter tried to calm him. This was too good. Having incited the Kauravas to date, Shakuni got the treatment he deserved: he doesn't get to choose when his nephews apply ankush on their crodh, and when they don't
- Him bypassing Krishna's rhetoric, and pointing out that a punishment can't exceed the crime. In this one, Duryodhan was right. The reason Krishna beheaded Sishupala was not merely the sin count, but also b'cos Sishupala had drawn his sword and was starting a battle, alongside friendly kings (not including Duryodhan) against the Pandavas
- Unlike Dushashan & Karna, he kept his defiance until Bhima snatched his mace
I liked Sishupala's tirade this time - the stuff about the gopis 😈, Radha (her marriage to Ayaan), Narakasura's 16k women and so on. Not in the original, but whether they realize it or not, ⭐️bharat took some of the most controversial aspects about Krishna and voiced them thru Sishupala. Good going 😈
Sishupala also did a good job recounting the sins of others - while calling Bheeshma a napunsak, he mentioned how Bheeshma forced kingdoms to part w/ their princesses for his napunsak kids 😆 Then insulted Pandu for being a napunsak as well 😡 Interesting factoid - he didn't criticize Draupadi for having 5 hubbies, just for being Krishna's sakhi 😆
Suddenly Sishupala realized that he was out of sins? That was too funny. But his body trembling for a while - that was needlessly ghoulish.
I liked Karna demanding the death penalty - why did they deny it? And why did Kunti tremble - it's not like he's her son.
Fiction aside, it was a great episode! 👍🏼
