This year 2013 is Vijaya Nama Samavatsara ...the previous two years 2011 was Vikruti and 2012 was Kara ...And next year 2014 is Jaya Nama Samavatsara..I was wondering after 60 years do the same names repeat ...Confused.

Thank you so much, I know, but all sorts of people exist. You can't avoid them dear. Actually, they don't have guts to take criticism or comparison, they want to force everyone to think according to them. But let's not forget in this forum kids are also members and they just don't know how to be mature and adult, therefore, they always throw tantrums which spoils the atmosphere well what can one do about it. Let's hope that Mods and admin will do their job properly and avoid such scenarios and to maintain a healthy atmosphere.

Yes they repeat after 60 yrs. Check in this link click below open the scroll of the year 2013-14 in bracket. they have given names and see they are repeating the names.

Thank you! I read a similar article years ago, on the chronology of the Mahabharat (may have been the same as this lol) and how people lived for long periods of time, I guess thats why it was hard to attain God in that time and easier in Kalyug as life is short and easier (relatively) to attain God with devotion.

Yes this is true that in satyug and treta yug people had to live hard life and meditate for thousands of years to get darshans of god but in Kaliyug people just pray with sincerity and god help them but they don't give their sakshat darshan to them atleast now they don't as there is hardly any dharm left on earth in this yug but I don't believe this the earth is still surviving and there are lot of people who are honest and compassionate that make this earth go round and round

Here read a very beautiful article why Kaliyug is the best for all humans:-
where dharm is less but karm is more which can be good or evil

http://awara32.blogspot.in/2011/12/blog-post.html

Anyway why I like this yug is because humanity is still more sensible and all the regions where human are co cohabiting have learnt to co exist also meaning less wars are no more and majority of people do not have to indulge in war technology is more advance 😆 we can fly to any place well in those yugs there was pushpak vimans too but well I like our planes better there is ari conditioning electronic heating too cycles radios I know I know life was much better in those days they used to eat healthy live healthy but somehow life is more comfortable today 😆 but what I hate most in this yug is that people destroying mother nature and it is going on with huge speed. By the time we all are old and ready to leave earth, I have a feeling that nature would also be going with us. 😭 What are we leaving for our future generation. Hell

Why do I have a feeling that this is centred on me?
Ok I didn't mean to hurt anyone. Sry!

in dwapar yuga people lived longer is what i ve heard.
so even 30 year old person may be considered a kid in that period. as people lived for several hundred years.
parashuram lived for several thousand years. some people say he's still alive and is meditating. i dont want to debate on this bcoz its not confirmed.
so going by that 30-40 yr old person is like a teenager of today. 😆
but di this is just an amazing piece of info. thanks for sharing!😃

ONe of my friend's granddad said that once when he and his friend had gone to the Hinalayas to visit some temple, he was not there, and his friend had gone somewhere. At that time his friend had seen a tall person (like, very very tall). That person told him that "I am Ashwatthama, the son of Drona. I was cursed to wander this place for the whole Kaliyuga." and he vanished, and that friend got a headache. Later, my friend's grandfather saw his friend and learnt abt this. Don't know how much is true, but at least we know that Ashwatthama is alive somewhere.

true he is alive and he meets people sometime that is true I wanted to add this but thought people would say faketi hai 😆 isliye didn't mention

my mamaji once met a person who was talking about spirituality and he was acting as if a normal person but on his forhead there was an injury at the center and it was bleeding and there were other people as well who started discussing a lot of stuff about gods and this and that, next moment everyone when looked around that person had vanished my nani also said the same thing that ashwathama sometimes comes in contact with people so I believe your story
