@Paanchali haan wohi tv show he .. kuch bhi dikhana kaam hai .. Duryadhan was a great ruler even in Vyasa's Mahabharat before dying when he preached, "I was a good son, good ruler, good friend n good enemy" Devtas showered flower on him .. it was just a way of Vyasa's saying, there are many more thing to understand .. do not go all by words .. read between the lines

but anyway tv show h .. it is better to ignore and check out Aham n Arpit 😉

My point was that Bheeshma is shown demonstrating a double standard - it was okay for Vichi to marry 2 princesses from a swayamvara that he was not invited to, but it's not okay for Jayadrath to marry a princess of a kingdom that doesn't want him in their swayamvara. Hastinapur today is what Kashi was then - Kashi didn't invite Vichi, Hastinapur didn't invite Jayadrath. Bheeshma forced Kashi to hand over their princesses to Vichi, but now wants to not hand over Duhsala to Jayadrath.

Historically, of course, this is a bit grey, since the MB says nothing more than Duhsala was given away to Jayadrath when she came of age. That leaves vague the question of whether she had a swayamvara & chose him, or whether Dhritarashtra/Duryodhan simply chose Jayadrath for her and handed her over.

Also, if one goes by the sabha parva excerpt that I posted in the Duhsala thread - link last page - Duhsala may not have been married as late as the game of dice. She probably would have gotten married once the Pandavas left & went into exile, and Duryodhan would probably have been happy that they weren't around for her marriage.

Also, since they've started discussing Duhsala's marriage, does anybody know who's gonna play Jayadrath? If possible, please post any available pictures here of both the actor who plays him, as well as him.

Since they have stated that Jayadrath will be wicked, I wonder - will they only show him misbehaving w/ women, which would be consistent w/ what he tried to do to Draupadi? Or will they show him doing all sorts of other wicked deeds?
