The season 8 of Jhalak dikhla Jaa is high on celeb quotient. And this time the makers (BBC and Colors) are adding a special touch by connecting directly with the aam janta (masses).

Yes, season 8 will see the introduction of Spotlight' segment which will allow a common person to showcase his or her passion for dancing on the glamourous Jhalak stage.

Jhalak will launch from 11 July and will have Sanaya Irani with Jai, Mohit Malik with Marischa, Vivian Dsena with Bhawna, Kavita Kaushik with Rajit, Dipika Kakar with Vaibhav, Faisal Khan with Vaishnavi, Scarlett Wilson with Dhiraj, Shamita Shetty with Deepak, Raftaar with Sneha, Ashish Chowdhury with Vrushali, Radhika Madan with Rishikaysh and Shubhreet Kaur with Diwakar as contestants. This season heartthrob Shahid Kapoor will be seen in the judging panel along with Karan Johar, Ganesh Hegde and Lauren Gottlieb.
