Ek Raja Ek Rani promo: Drashti Dhami back in a de-glam avatar!

Finally our long wait is over and television's diva is back with her new show on Zee TV

We just caught the promo of Drashti Dhami and Siddhant Karnick's new show Ek Raja Ek Rani. The show brings Drashti back in the simpleton and de-glam avatar. Her look seems very similar to the shows - Geet Huyi Sabse Parayi and Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.

The promo showcases, Drashti riding her cycle and Siddhant Karnick exiting from the palace amidst his several servants and bodyguards. She falls and expectantly extends her hand towards Siddhant for help. But our hero looks down at her, adjusts his suit and ignores her. Irritated with his nonchalant behaviour, Drashti picks herself up and walks away.

The story seems to be about a naive girl who is mesmerised with the rich and famous, but life teaches her a valuable lesson and she learns to be independent - at least that's what we hope the story will be like.

Co-produced by Sphere Origins and Nilanjana Purkayasstha, we hope Ek Raja Ek Rani is as interesting as the promo seems to be. Fingers crossed!
