As I stepped inside the party hall, my eyes wandered around, trying to make sure that he wasn't there. Sensing the surroundings to be safe, I sighed and walked in. Will followed me inside. "Will. Keep Steven incharge of Madhu's safety. Just ask him to stay outside and keep a close watch.", I told him. "Alright, Sir!", he nodded and excused himself to follow my instructions. "Mr RK!", a heavy voice greeted me. "Mr. Hill", I nodded and walked towards him and shook his hands. "Glad to have you among us. Can't believe THE Rishabh Kundra made it to our party.", he genuinely looked happy. I smiled and followed him to the middle of the party. "Great arrangements, Mr Hill!", I appreciated as I looked around. It was a graceful evening. I could recognise the imminent business personalities from Australia and a few of our Indian contemporaries too. There was one thing I couldn't help but notice. It was the wives that accompanied their husbands. I could see them stand near their husbands and mingle around. A sudden urge wanted my Madhu to be my side too.
"Excuse me, Sir!", a voice called me. Lost in my thoughts, I turned to him only to face my biggest fear coming alive. There he stood, in clean black waiter dress, with a white bow around his neck. "Would you like to have something.", he asked me. I stood there, in front of me...not knowing how and what to say. My dreaded past was live in front of me...all over again. "Sir?", he spoke to me sensing my quietness. There was a clear tinge of moisture in his eyes too. "No, I want nothing... Rihan!", I spoke collecting myself together. He gulped hearing his name from my throat. I felt it. I was known to every nerve of his body. A bead of sweat formed on his forehead and in a way he that he always did, he quickly used the tip of his thumb to trickle it away. He stood in front of me, with something in his eyes that I barely recognized. He was bruised and bearded now, with cuts on his hands. I could see them when he offered me snacks. "Sir!", Will found me saving me from all the awkwardness. "I gave all your instructions as per your say!", he smiled. Will always knew how to say stuff based on the situation. In one and a half year, he knew me just too well. I am sure he changed his words seeing Rihan standing, though he wouldn't recognise him. "What are you staring at?", Will stared at Rihan. Rihan panicked and then left me. I left a huge breath when he disappeared.
"Was he troubling you?", Will asked. "No Will. He was just asking snacks.", I told him with conviction. For the next entire time, Will never left my side and I felt safe with him around. The party swayed swiftly into the dinner and Will examined everything as per habit. After the party, we excused ourselves and came out of the hall.
"RK Sir!", he called me as I came out of the hall. Will stiffened as he saw Rihan coming near me. I stared at him with absolutely nothing on my face that could give anything away. "Can I speak to you, Sir!", he joined his hands in reverence in front of me. "Will?", I called out. "Sir!", Will stood by my side. "Check him. For any cameras, recorders, mikes. Anything and everything,", I told him. Rihan stared at me blankly. "Thank u! RK!", he smiled as he let Will inspect him. "Call him Sir!", Will tapped him. I made no comment. Remembering Madhu's words, I smiled to him in conviction. "He's ok. Sir!", Will told me. "Take him to the conference car, now. And put the jammers on.", I told him. For some weird reason, I wanted to talk to him. "Alright, Sir.", he nodded and pulled Rihan away. Rihan kept looking at me. I dialled Madhu's number.
"What did you tell him.", she spoke as soon as she received the call. I stood there stunned.
"Eh?", I asked.
"What did you tell Rihan?", she asked me back.
"How did you...", I was shocked.
"In 6 months, I have started to understand you better.", her voice had a jingle in it. I smiled.
"I am taking her to my conference car. Jammers are on!", I told her.
"Will you be ok? Just tell Will to stay with you.", she spoke.
"Yeah. Catch you at home. Go to sleep, Biwi!", I said. Her chuckle sounded from the other side and the phone disconnected.

[Madhu's POV]
"Will, just be around him.", I told Will on phone as soon as I heard about Rihan from RK. "Ok, Mam!", he said.
"Don't leave him even if he asked. Tell him you're under my order!", I said.
"Don't worry Mam! Sir can handle this. He has handled so many aspiring people before."
"Trust me, when I tell you Will! That this is different. Just stay with him."
"Yes mam! Always and forever."
I cut the call and nervously waited for him to return home. I expected him to be in his cranky attitude when he returned. "Get armed Madhu! Your Shaitaan will be back soon!", I chuckled.

[RK's POV]
"Sir, I have been asked to stay with you. And I will follow Mam's order.", Will whispered to me just before I entered the car. I nodded. Rihan sat inside the car in front of me. Will sat right beside me. "Can I speak to you in private?", Rihan asked me. I stared him. "I don't do private, Mr Rihan.", I told him. Rihan looked at Will.
"RK, kaise ho?" (How are you RK?)
"Main theek hoon. I am perfectly fine, Rihan!", I smiled. Will had plugs in his ears, he heard nothing.
"And Maa?", he asked.
"She is not your mother, Rihan. Call her Mrs Radha Kundra.", I told him.
"Sorry, Sir. How is Mrs Radha Kundra?"
"She's coping up, Rihan. Is that why you wanted to speak. Asking about how everyone is so that you according plan the next blow?", I rolled my eyes.
"I wanted a job.", he said.
"You have a job, though I honestly am confused. How did a criminal, get a job?"
"I told him that I am repenting on what I did. And I need someone to help me build a new life."
"Nice people, I must say. Otherwise, isn't this world a cruel place for people who help?", I raised a brow.
"Indeed, RK! It is a cruel place."
"Coming to your job! Why do u think I would help you get a job?"
"Because whatever I have is your dad's gift to me!", he said.
"Hmm, true. Dad was too good a man to understand you.", I told him.
"RK. Give me a job, please.", he begged.
"You're fine, here! As a waiter. You're just where you've been supposed to be.", I told him.
"RK, I need you to trust me."
"Woah!! Aren't you asking too much? OH WAIT! Sahil is back in action. It just occurred to me. Ahaan! You've been spying on me?", I said.
I heard his gasp and he dropped his head down. "Stop the car!", I shouted. The car halted. Will removed his ear plugs. "We're done, Will. Give me him the taxi fare to go back home." I told him. I moved out and after Rihan boarded the bus, I summoned my personal car and drove back to the Apartment. I had a burden on my chest which felt lighter after telling Rihan what I always wanted to tell him. To f**k off from my life. I opened the apartment and lazily moved to the bedroom.

She had fallen asleep with the lights on. I smiled and took off my suit and loosened my tie and jumped on the other side of the bed. Closing the lights, I dozed off too.
[Madhu's POV]
In the morning, I felt RK beside me. I turned around and opened my eyes to see him sleeping on my side with his shirt unbuttoned and loosened and hair tousled. I stretched my hands and stood up analysing the sunlight as it watered my eyes. He was fast asleep, Or atleast thats what I thought. "Hey.", he murmured in broken lingo. I choked myself hearing his voice out of nowhere. "You are awake?", I asked tying my hair in a bun. "Yeah! Woke up a couple of minutes back". I sighed and smiled. "How was your party?", I asked him. He turned his face away from me, "I saw him!", he murmured. "And I drove him away", he continued. "Me is proud of you.", I smiled to him. "I have taken an off today!", he murmured. "Ok! I'll have to go. An event to cover!", I winked and rushed into the washroom.

Amazing update like always...
wowww finally rk
faced his past courageously...
the meeting btw rk and rihaan
u penned it very well...
feel bad for both rk and rihan...
I still I feel rihan is innocent...
rihan is in need for new job
and I think he gets his new job
in madhus office.
waiting eagerly for next update.
