Recently there was news that the production crew of the TV show, Madhubala, is not being paid its dues. but their team members recently denied such story.

Posting this as info since MEIEJ is in the 8.30pm slot, but Star Plus might be considered evidence in the current situation - with the football World Cup as viewership-competition - that if the tracks work and are not disinteresting and/or distasteful to mass-audience, then the viewership doesn't get staggeringly less.
On a positive note, MEIEJ's viewership is in the same league as the other fictional serials of the channel.
So even with absolutely no MEIEJ promo since more than a month, we're not doing worse in viewership-amount than the serials which have had a little or much promotion during the past 30+ days.

Pre-show and live game ate up the ratings of fiction shows.
