RAJBALA FF: Nafrat Ki inteha
She stared at the unmoving figure from the bedside table, his lips held a content smile, unkempt hair was strewn messily over his forehead while his eyes were shut in a blissful sleep. His visage was so peaceful and he looked serene lying on his bed, completely opposite from when he was awake. When he was awake, all he knew was violence. Destruction was the sole thing he stood for. When he slept, he resembled Raju. Sweet and innocent Raju who wouldn't dare hurt a fly. Raju who would speak up for her, not kill at the drop of a hat. She whisked a strand of hair away from his eyes, trailing her fingers down to cup his unshaven face.
"Kash thum aise nahi hotein" She whispered, glancing at the duffel bag in her left hand. Madhu felt a bit of regret leaving him sleeping like this and was fully aware that he would be furious when he woke up in the morning, but she had to leave. If she didn't leave then she'd never be able to be happy and free.
"Raani.." Madhu heard Raja murmur under his breath. Her heart felt like it stopped, what if he saw that she was trying to run away? What if he tried to stop her?! She turned around slowly to see his large frame sleeping soundly. She thanked God he was just talking in his sleep.
She skulked out of the mansion as quickly and discreetly as possible, praying to Pyare Kanha that no one noticed her sneaking out.
When She finally stepped out of the huge building, she breathed a sigh of sweet relief. Finally! She was out of that prison, where death and deceit roamed around like haunting ghosts. After the initial happiness faded away, Madhu realized that she had no where to go. Mama-Chacha's house was off-limits as that would be where Raja would first attempt to look for her. Dida's home was also off-limits as she was in the hospital and had put a lock on the house. Where could Madhu go that Raja wouldn't come to follow?
Madhu walked around aimlessly trying to look for a place to stay. If things couldn't get any more worse, it started to drizzle. She didn't have anyone to go to in Mumbai, nor did she have a job. She sat on a bench nearby and opened up her navy blue duffel bag. She went through it, setting the clothes aside to search for some money that she had taken from Raja. Stealing was always something that Madhu admonished but given the circumstances, she assumed it was necessary. she found the money and calculated enough for 2 nights but if she were to live alone for the rest of her life she would have to find an actual place to live. The young woman pulled out her phone and called the one person that she would be able to depend on. Sunny.
"Hello? Madhu? Where have you been? Why haven't you been calling us? Do you know how worried we were??" Sunny scolded her, Madhu knew it was for her own benefit but was getting agitated at the moment.
"I ran away from Raja, I couldn't live in those conditions anymore! I needed to be free and I'm here on the streets with nowhere to go. Please help Sunny!" She desperately clung onto the phone, wishing with all her heart that Sunny had a pancea for her problems.
"Okay relax Madhu, relax. I have a place you can stay. A friend of mine owes me a favor, I'll call her up and ask her if you can bunk with her. I'm sure she won't turn you away!"
"Thank you so much" She spoke before hanging up the phone so he could speak with his friend. A couple minutes later Sunny called again and told her the address of the home.
Thankfully, the home was a few minutes away from the chawl so she wouldn't be far away from family. When she reached the house, Sunny's friend stood outside of the house. She had a slender figure and short hair cut into a bob cut. Her appearance looked very modern and appealing as opposed to Madhu's. Madhu's unruly hair was frizzy from the rain while her sari was plastered onto her wet skin.
"Madhu...Right?" She asked giving a warm smile.
"uh...ji." She nodded reciprocating a smile though hers was of one of discomfort.
"Ok well thum apni bags...er bag apni kamre mein raksakhthin ho. Your room is down the hall, first door to your right."
Madhu thanked the nice lady and progressed to her room. As soon as she put her duffel bag down, she flung herself onto the bed knocking out into deep slumber.
His lips were pulled into a smirk as he watched her dance, she was oblivious of course. When she danced she was in a different world. While she was spinning around in a pirouette, he approached her. His hand held the small of her back, making her aware of his presence. When she saw his face a look of shock came upon her, followed by a bright smile. He gripped onto her hand, leading her into a waltz. A young couple with a gaze so deep and buried with love that Romeo and Juliet would have been put to shame. Her hair whipped around with every spin he lead and his fingers trailed down her back in a firery flame, her hands left his and explored his back trailing down to his belt. Her hands landed on a cold metallic surface. She tugged on it and held the object in her hand. A bright light dawned on the both of them, she looked down at what appeared to be a gun in her hand, the young girl gasped at the man leading the dance and stepped back, breaking the giant flow of energy they had accumulated.
"Raja." She breathed.
Madhu woke up in a cold sweat, panting heavily with her heart thudding wildly. He had entered her dreams, a sacred place in which no man was allowed to enter anymore. Her lips quivered nervously, she wasn't sure whether she liked the first half or not, but the second half had surely shaken her up.
