Chapter - 5

Aliya paced here and there at the railway station platform waiting for Madhu to come.. She checked the time again it showed it to be 3:55 am, and still no sign of Madhu. She was about to call her when Madhu tapped her shoulder and Aliya turned back. Madhu hugged her tight and mumbled, "I am not doing the right thing na Alu?"

Aliya shocked at her sudden question, "Yeah! You are not doing the right thing Madhu but why asking this question now?"

Madhu sighed and said, "But don't I have the right to follow my heart and accomplish my dreams Alu?"

Aliya confused, "You do have Madhu but.."

She was cut off by the blaring sound of the train which signaled that it would leave in some 2 minutes.

Aliya broke the hug and pulled Madhu and took hold of her one bag and another Madhu carried and they ran towards the train.

After placing the luggage properly and checking their seats they both sat side by side with Madhu looking outside, face devoid of any emotions. Aliya made her turn her face towards her and asked, "What happened? Why do you look lost Madhu? Where is the bubbly Madhu?"

Madhu just gave a small smile and rested her head on Aliya's and dozed off after some time.

At 9 am in the morning-

Aliya was the first one to wake up among the two.. She yawned and looked down from her berth. She had been sleeping on the middle berth with Madhu on the lower berth. Madhu was still sleeping. Aliya slowly got off her birth and went down and caressed Madhu's face. Madhu had always been like a sister for her, her best friend. Madhu held a very important part in her life and she could never see her sad. After brushing and freshening up a bit she slowly started shaking Madhu to get her up.

Aliya slowly, "Wake up Madhu!"

Madhu irritated mumbled, "Don't disturb me Alu please!"

Aliya even slowly, "Madhu please get up! Please!?"

Madhu annoyed opened her eyes and sat straight and was about to hit her head to the upper berth(the middle one)when Aliya placed her hand between her head and the berth in time.

Aliya said, "Madhu you should be careful"

Madhu giggled, "Sorry Mom!"

Aliya confused, "Mom!?"

Madhu mischievously, "You behave like one, so I thought..

Aliya cut her off, "Acha? I will show you now"

Aliya started tickling her and Madhu said, "Sorry, sorry baba"

Aliya let go off her. They both removed the chain and placed the middle berth down as a back rest.

Madhu feeling her stomach, "I am so hungry Alu!"

Aliya looked out of the window; the train had stopped at a station. She got up and said, "Wait Madhu! I will get something for us to eat, okay?"

Madhu argued, "No I will get us something, you sit, how much more work will you do for me?"

Aliya looked at her sternly, "Shut Up! Will you?"

Madhu giggled and nodded. She got up and reached for her bag. She took out the tooth brush and the tooth paste and went to the sink to brush while Aliya took her purse and got off the train to get some food.

Madhu after brushing came back and sat on her seat all the while thinking about Aliya. Aliya held a very important place in her life. After her Dadi she was the only person who understood her feelings and took full care of her. She would have been no where if Aliya was not there to support her whenever she needed her. She could do anything for Aliya.

She looked out and spotted Aliya arguing with some person. She couldn't see his face as he had her back towards her.

Aliya had bought food for them and turned around when she bumped into someone. She closed her eyes tightly as she feared to fall but someone caught her in time. She opened her eyes slowly and looked into his dancing black eyes.. There was a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Person looked at her admiringly and with a smirk on his face said, "Ek ladki ko dekha to aisa laga
Jaise khilta gulaab, jaise.."

Aliya stood properly and pushed him behind angrily.

Person, "Woah! Don't you know how to say Thank You, hunh?"

Aliya angrily, "We Thank people who help us and not flirt with us.."

The person laughs and says, "Flirt and that too with you hunh?"

Aliya points her finger at him when Madhu comes running from behind and says, "Alu what's happening.. ZAIN!?"

Madhu runs to Zain and they both hug each other..

Aliya confused, "You know this flirt?"

Madhu smiling happily says, "Yeah.. Zain this is Aliya and Aliya this is Zain!"

Zain forwards his hand for a hand shake but Aliya turns her face the other side and Madhu looks on confused..

Zain turns to Madhu and asks her, "Is she always like this?"

Madhu giggles and says, "Yeah she doesn't talk to strangers and flirtatious people like you!"

Zain smirks, "Ohh is it?"

Zain continues, "Anyways are you heading to Mumbai?"

Madhu nods to which Zain says, "That's good! Even I am heading to Mumbai, which compartment?"

Madhu answers him and Zain smiles, "I am in the same compartment too" he looks at Aliya who was staring at him irritated and continues, "I will join you guys then" and winks at a fuming Aliya.

The three go back to the compartment and after giving the TC bribe to change his seat he collects his bags and joins Madhu and Aliya.
