All the rituals barring terming JM as Devi and that coal thing if done willingly would have looked romantic instead of insult...but cv have done well To show discomfort of the bride with these forced rituals .

Well overall I like that raja will follow customs but will not allow disrespect of rani and rani is not some one who is willing to take torture silently much needed change from Lela's days where I think she was willingly bowing down to torture and got herself burned just like phialguni and also took it silently when she was called a prostitute by Leela... So I definitely welcome strong JM who can stand up for herself and protest ...that's the whole point in showing regressive stuff ...just like RK gave scathing explanation of KC the first time Madhu did KC ...
Keep it up AS strong foundation is needed before you show love story between Raja rani ...
