I am a person who has never ever criticized an "Actor" (I am not talking about the character... They are meant to be criticizedby the public if they are not accepted by them.) in this forum and outside too as I believe every actor has his own limitations and skills... But after reading TOI article, I felt compelled to express my opinion on Mr Gunjan Utreja...
I had no bad or hate feeling for him since his entry in the show as it was his first chance to grow as an actor and showcase his acting talent and improve for betterment! Many articles came on him but I was least interested in commenting or criticizing him as he genuinely needed time to improve in the show. But the way he expressed himself in this article actually surprised me... How can a person have that audacity to speak like this???
Firstly, I don't think this article to be fake or speculative as the excerpts sounded so real with some Hindi comments. Secondly, he decided to quit the show after just two months period as he found his character coming to a stagnancy... I really can't connect to this reason of his... A character needs a long period to be developed and this totally depends on the writers and the Actor too... Writer may create a paper picture of any character but it is the Actor who puts life in it... As he said, his character was getting appreciated a lot from the public then why this quit... RK was though a strongest character ever created but it got the historical fame and name not just overnight!!! It got that immense effort and hardwork from Vivian from the day one that made this character an epic one... If Mr Utreja had that belief in himself then there was no point of feeling that stagnancy in his character Abhay Kapoor... Creative differences can be cleared with mutual efforts and with own creativeness. If he really wanted AK to go for ages then he might have given his own imaginations to it.
RK too came to a halt after a period but it still got audiences love till its end... Why??? Because this character got that imaginative input from the actor... Same thing lies with Raju, it is a cute character but not that effective but it is still being loved by all even with less screen space... Why??? Answer is same... Imaginative input from the actor!!!
Gunjan himself spoke that the story is revolving around AK then he could have explored the way to remove that stagnancy!!! In my opinion, this quitting behaviour also questions the professional commitment of an actor. Vivian left the show because he felt RK has completed its desired life in the show. This character was tested from every corner. But AK was created two months back...
Also, his comments on Vivian re entry and the name calling of such big celebrities throws negative vibes from him... A person can compare himself with such Superstars and achievers only when he feels himself worthy of it... If he has achieved that stature and fame in his career... He has got only one show for few months and he had that audacity to compare with such characters and actors!!! I felt it to be his insecurities speaking!!!
And I can't believe that Vivian can ever say such words... His IVs says it all...
Overall, I so felt that Mr Utreja needs to develop that professionalism in himself for his character and he should have that faith in himself to give his character a new edge...!!!!
P.S.- This long post is strictly my opinion on the article as I have that right to share on this forum board!!! If you don't agree then please ignore it but don't create a Warfare here...
