You need to watch film again, Anil Kapoor or his lookalike was not the father of Sridevi's character. Her mother and Anil Kapoor's character had a romance but her mother married someone else, had a daughter who looked like her mother, this daughter ended up without parents and Anil Kapoor the same one that was in love with her mother married her. So not a lookalike of her father married her but a guy that romanced her mother married her. It doesn't mean the daughter when she seeing this man saw her father in his face because the man that raised her with her mother had a different face from Anil Kapoor. Unless you are saying Abhay Kapoor in MEIEJ is like the character of Anil Kapoor in Lamhe as the age etc makes a bit more sense however Abhay was 17 years old and Snr Madhu might have been 23 or 24 years old.
