Dida always said that only a minute is enough for a change but she never believed it. For her, the world was already planned and designed by her Pyare Kahna which no one can dare to change. Everything was pre decided by him. For her, her small world with her Dida was also his creation. Her dreams were just a means to beautify it. But today, every misconception of hers turned wrong in front of her eyes- her dreams, her world... yes... Dida's words turned out to be true!! A minute actually changed everything... everything of hers! Only a minute ago, she was a bride... a happy and a lucky bride... who got married to the man of her dreams- Abhay Kapoor... Superstar Abhay Kapoor!! She was standing at the door of her happiness, still dreaming for her new life with her Abhay. But regrettably, that minute came when the shining crystal of her wool-gathering... her ambitions broke into billions of pieces in front of her eyes. The moment she her groom in front of her eyes, not beside him; everything changed. The moment her groom removed his sehra, everything changed... And finally, her Dida's words came true. She was betrayed... betrayed by her love... The person whom she loved insanely; whom she literally worshipped since her childhood, deceived her so easily and she got deceived with the same pace. The person standing in front of her, giving her an evil deadly smirk was her Abhay and the one standing beside her was the result of her deceived fate!! It was actually a two sided deception for her- both from her love Abhay and her world, Dida. Just a minute changed her life, her destiny, her identity. Identity... yes... her identity! She got to know her real identity of being the daughter of Late Rishabh and Madhubala Kundra. But again, a moment snatched it from her before she could live with it for few minutes and she was again renamed as MADHUBALA RAJ KUMAR, wife of RAJ KUMAR, a mentally challenged man- a 27 year old man of just a 6 year old mind! But this was not enough for the day. Abhay forced... errr... tortured her to accept this marriage at any cost, to save her Dida. For the first time, she got to know what "helplessness" means!! She didn't felt such even when she had no money for her Dida's operation. She had no option left to drop down her arms in front of her fate.
It's been a week since she got married... deceived should be the right word. Mentally, she accepted her destiny's decision; she accepted herself to be Mrs Raj Kumar. But deep down, her heart and soul were completely wounded with the hurts her Dida and Abhay. More than Abhay, her hatred was more towards her Dida- who had lied to her since her childhood... Radha laid the foundation of her innocent childhood on a lie- naming her as Madhubala Devkinandan... the biggest lie of her life. Madhu wanted to ran to her and ask her, shout at her for cheating on her like this but it wasn't easy to be done. Her life was becoming no less than a hell and all thanks to Abhay Kapoor and his family. Poor guy, Raj was getting misused by Abhay for his evil plans against Madhu. But he couldn't be blamed at all because of his mental condition- he was just a kid from his mind; a sweet, innocent boy who loves to play with his remote cars and trucks; who loves to eat Lollipops. Madhu had already decided to fulfil all the wife duties. She was taking the best possible care of Raj but every now and then, Abhay would use Raj's weaknesses against Madhu and ended up hurting him badly, more physically which in turn would hurt Madhu a lot seeing his condition. All this was giving Abhay double satisfaction as his real enemies were in front of his eyes- RK and Madhubala. Raj's identicalness with RK already added up more oil to the fuel. Thus both Raj and Madhubala had become the ultimate sufferers of Abhay's cruelty. The entire Kapoor kin group was aware of it but no one was bothered to do anything in favour of the two poor souls except Bebe. Bebe had a sweet corner for Madhu and it slowly developed for Raj too. She wanted to free them from this enslavement but she was helpless, just like them. Since a week, Bittuji was continuously calling Madhu for her well-being but she was ignoring his calls as much as possible. If she couldn't be able to ignore, she would talk with him a little.
One day, Bebe convinced Madhu to accompany her to the temple. "I will also go with you!" Raj said innocently. "Raju, we are just going to the nearby temple. I'll return back in few minutes!" Madhu explained. "NO... NO... NO... I want to go means I want to go!! I will go with my Gudia! I won't stay here without you! I have to go with you... Bas!!" He started shouting cussedly. Madhu tried to convince him but he didn't listen anything. "No problem Madhu. Let him come with us!" Bebe interrupted lovingly. "Where are you all going?" Suddenly Abhay stopped them. "I am taking both of them to the temple with me." Bebe replied indifferently. His grandson's act had hurt her deeply. "They won't go anywhere!" He declared arrogantly. Madhu glared at him while Raj, unaware of anything was playing with Madhu's dupatta. "They will go and I am taking them along with me!" Bebe snapped back. "They are not your slaves Abhay!!" "But Bebe, you..." "Don't forget to whom you are talking Abhay! I am your Bebe! At least maintain some humanity with me!" She taunted in disgust and all three of them left from there.
After the Pooja, they were coming downstairs of the temple when Madhu's cell buzzed. It was Bittuji. She worriedly picked it up. "Madhu! There is a good news for you!" He spoke excitedly. "Guess what, Auntyji is here in Mumbai. She had recovered from her ill health so I insisted her to come with me. Earlier, she was denying but I somehow convinced her. And Madhu... I told her about your job in Mumbai!" Madhu got numbed to hear that. "What? Mama Chacha, why did you do this?" "Madhu, we have to tell her the truth someday no... Yes, she was angry initially but when you would meet her, everything will be alright. When are you coming here Beta? Leela told me that you didn't come since so many days!! Where are you Madhu?" Madhu's breath stuck in her throat. For once, she thought to shout out her grief to her Uncle and ran to him for her protection but her feet got stuck to the ground. "Ammm... I will come to meet you soon! Bye!" And she quickly hanged up. Raju was busy in his own world- spreading the petals of the flowers in Bebe's Pooja plate. Suddenly something clicked Madhu and her worried face turned red in rage. "Bebe, I want to go for some hours." "But where, madhu?" "To meet my Dida." Bebe's face turned pale. Madhu understood it, "Don't worry Bebe, I am not running away. I'll return back soon!" She nodded in affirmation and Madhu was about to leave when Raj jumped in front of her suddenly, "Gudia, are we going home? I don't want to go back soon. We will stay here and play. OK!" He gave a sweet innocent smile and grab her hand to play but she jerked it back, "I am going somewhere else Raju! You go back with Aunty!" Hearing it, his smile flew away and he held her hand more strongly. "NO! You are not going anywhere! We will play here. You are not going!" "Raju, I'll be back till evening! Promise!" "NO! I won't let you go anywhere! You are my Gudia! I'll play with my Gudia!" Madhu was helplessly looking at him and trying to free her hand but it failed. "OK then..." Bebe interrupted. "Why don't you go with your Gudia?" Raj's face glittered with a cute smile and started shaking his head in excitement, "Yes! Yes! I'll go with you! I'll go with my Gudia! We will go to the park and play lots of games there. We will buy lots of chocolates and ice creams also! Let's go! Yaayyy!!" Madhu sighed defeated and both went in their car.
After a brief drive of few minutes, the car stopped in front of the gate of Chawl. Throughout the drive, Raj was clapping and singing in excitement, making various plans for his enjoyment; completely unaware of Madhu's plans. Madhu was about to come out of the car when Raj pouted, "Gudia which place is it? Why are we here? There is no park, no ice cream shop... Where will we play then?" After a pause, she replied, "I have some work here." And she again turned to go out but he again interrupted, "I'll also come with you!" "NO! You stay here in the car. I'll come in a while." "But where are you going?" "To get some answers!" She replied thoughtfully. Raj was staring at her bewildered but she went out without looking at him. Raj sadly shifted to the car window and saw her going upstairs in the Chawl.
With continuous knocks at the door, Bittuji agitatedly opened it. "Madhu!" He surprisingly hugged her but she reciprocated sternly. "Madhu! You came!" Radha too got surprised to see her. She was resting on the bed but on seeing her granddaughter, she managed to get up. She hugged her with happy tears in her eyes. Seeing her Dida after so many days and that too after what happened to her, her dried up tears again found their way out. Suddenly, Radha parted away in pouting. "Why did you lie to me Madhu? You told me about your job in Kanpur but you were here in Mumbai, in spite of my objection. Why Madhu?" But Madhu didn't reply to her. "Madhu! I am talking to you Beta! Tell me, why did you lie to me? You know how much you hurt me!" Bittuji was hearing all and decided to interrupt before Radha get angrier. He had just reached near them to cool her down when Madhu spoke coldly, "Not as I am!!" Both Radha and Bittuji looked at her confused. "What... What are you saying Madhu?" Radha asked perplexed. Madhu slowly turned her watery eyes to look at her and continued, "The same what you just heard! You got hurt because I lied to you... I lied about my job... I lied to you about my whereabouts... And it hurt you so much!! But have you ever realised Dida, how much you have hurt me... since my childhood!" Radha got stunned to hear her words. For the first time, her Madhu was talking to her like this. "Ma... Madhu... What are you talking about Beta? What... What did I do?" "What did you do? What did you do Dida? You are asking me?? Ask this question to yourself and your heart will answer it!!" Madhu spoke furiously. "Since my childhood, I always believed that no matter what happens but my Dida... my Dida would never lie to me!! My Dida will never lie to me!! You were the only one whom I trusted the most Dida!! The whole world was on one side and my Dida was on another side... You were my only world Dida!! I believed you above everything then why... why did you tell a lie to me Dida? Why?" Madhu was shouting to the top. Till then her eyes and face were completely wet with her tears of pain and betrayal. "Madhu, which lie are you talking about Beta?" Bittuji asked hesitatingly. "Everything..." She shouted back. "Everything was a lie Mama Chacha... Everything!!" "But what Beta?" "Oh! So you want to hear it from me Dida!! OK then... You lied to me about my identity!! You cheated me on my name!! My identity is a lie!!" Madhu broke down. Now, Radha understood everything. The truth she was hiding from her Madhu since her childhood finally came out. The thing she was fearing of since 20 years, emerged out at last. "Why are you quiet now Dida? That means I am right!!" "Ma... Madhu... Beta... Listen... to me!!" She tried to pacify her. "NO! First tell me the truth!! I am right naa!!" Radha lowered her head defeated. Madhu got her answer. "You cheated me Dida!!" She shouted outrageously. "NO!" Bittuji interrupted. "No Madhu! She didn't cheat you Beta! At least listen to her for why she did it to you? She had her reason!!" Tears were flowing profusely behind her glasses, but today they were more of anger than pain. "Then tell me... Tell me why you did it?" "Because I feared!!" Radha whispered discomfited. She walked towards Madhu and caressed her face, "I feared to lose you Madhu! 20 years back... I lost everything... I lost my family! I lost my only son... I lost my Rishu!! My Rishu! I lost my Madhu! That blast... That blast snatched everything from me except you... I... I didn't want to lose my only possession left... YOU! My Madhu! That day I decided that I'll never ever let you come here in this city... in this world of lights and camera... I decided to hide you from everybody... and that's why I gave you a new name... Madhubala Devkinandan instead of your real name... Madh..." "MADHUBALA RISHABH KUNDRA!" madhu completed her words. "Daughter of Superstar Rishabh Kundra and Madhubala Kundra! This is the reason why my face looks like my Maa... And you fooled me with some foolish reason of 7 look alike people in this world. I being a fool used to say it in front of everybody!! You made a fool... an idiot out of me Dida!!" "No Beta! I was scared...!" "You were scared!" Madhu again shouted in rage. "Your fear finally destroyed me Dida!! Your concern finally destroyed your Madhu's life completely!!" Both Radha and Bittuji looked at her stunned. "What... What are you saying Madhu?" Bittuji asked worriedly. "The truth!! Abhay Kapoor wanted to avenge for his father's death and see... he succeeded Mama... He succeeded!! Just like my Dida, he too cheated me... in the name of love!! He betrayed me at the altar!!" Hearing it, Radha's legs trembled and she almost fell on the nearby sofa but surprisingly, Madhu didn't give her hand to support her today. She continued, "Abhay gave me job of his secretary, faked his love for me and finally... cheatingly made me married to some other man... a mentally challenged man! Look at me Dida... See where your fear and concern brought me!! Your affection, your worries for me spoiled my life completely!!" Bittuji was shocked to hear her words. He never expected this. "I told you a lie and I accept it!! But if you had told me my actual identity, I won't have come here Dida... I won't have come here ever!!" And she broke down too.
A pin drop silence blew there for few moments when a voice broke the silence, "Gudia!" Radha was sitting on the sofa, holding her head in her palm and crying when the voice caught her attention. Both Bittuji and Radha turned to see him and get another, biggest shock of their lives. "Gudia!" Raj spoke again and walked towards Madhu, twisting a twig between his fingers. "What are you doing here? Who are they?" A feared look took over his face on seeing the strangers with his Gudia. But Madhu didn't reply anything. "Rishu!" Radha blurted out with trembling lips. Bittuji was in a dilemma how to react to what he just saw. "Chief!" That's all he could speak behind his tears. Radha immediately got up and almost ran to hug him, "Rishu! My Rishu!" She kissed him all over his face. Raj was horrifyingly looking at the woman in his arms, He was struggling to free himself from her hold. "Where have you gone Rishu? Didn't you remember your Maa?" And she hugged him while crying loudly on his chest. Madhu was looking at both of them bewildered, trying to understand their emotions. "He is not Rishu Dida! He is Raj... Raj Kumar, my husband!" Bittuji and Radha looked at her stunned. "Why are you looking at me like this? And who Rishu and Chief are you talking about?" In between, Raj ran and tried to hid behind Madhu in fear, holding her dupatta tightly. "I can't believe this! He completely looks like Chief... your father, Madhu!" Madhu gasped loud in shock. Another shock thrilled her from within. She turned slowly to look at Raj, who was so nave to understand anything. Without wasting any moment, Madhu walked out of the room fast. Bittuji followed her while Radha again held Raj in her arms, happily.
Madhu was breathing fast. Wasn't it enough for her to get a shock of knowing her real identity that another jolt hit her- her husband looked like her father, Rishabh Kundra. She was completely lost in her turmoil when a hand broke her hypnotic trance. "What are you thinking Madhu?" Bittuji asked lovingly. After a pause, "That what my fate wants from me?" A silent tear rolled down her eyes. "Don't stress yourself much Madhu. I have answers to all your questions." Madhu turned back to face him amazed. "I have only heard about miracles earlier... but today, I got to see it too! Miracles does happen Madhu and Raj's face is one of it!!" Madhu sighed loudly in agitation and turned back. Chief and Bhabhiji were a made for each other couple... Their love, their bond was phenomenal!! I had never seen such love and affection between two human beings like that!! You know Madhu... Chief and Bhabhiji had promised to each other- to live and to die with each other! And see... they fulfilled it till their last breaths! They actually died together!! People say, true love never wins but for me, true love wins and it won... for Bhabhiji and Chief!! But their story left uncompleted!!" Madhu again turned back. Bittuji caressed her head, "All these years, I was living with the grief of losing both of them but when I saw you, a little of that pain cured!! But still, my heart ached for their incomplete story!! I always wanted to see both of them together with their small world- with you and your siblings!! But today, I felt that even Bappa wants to complete that forgotten story of Chief and Bhabhiji... on seeing you and Raj together!!" Madhu stared at her with popping eyes. "How can you say that mama Chacha? You want me to accept a man who looks like my father!!" "Yes! Not because I have some personal interest in it but because you both are destined for each other!! If it is not then why got married to only Raj? Why not any other man, Madhu? Because Bappa has already tied your knot of fate with his... You both have born to be together...!! I know what are you thinking Beta... but the fact is Raj only looks like Chief... he is not Chief!! Even Bappa knows... Madhubala is incomplete without RK!! The only difference here is that now... RK is Raj Kumar!!" "Have you said all this if I had married to some other guy?" Madhu asked. Bittuji sighed and then replied, "Yes!! My words would have the same... because I want your happiness Madhu and I know... now, your happiness is with Raj only!!" Madhu stared at Bittuji for few moments and immediately turned to walk without replying anything. "Raju!" She called his name aloud from the door, without looking at Radha and went down the stairs. Radha was caressing Raj's head with all her motherly love and affection while crying continuously. Hearing Madhu's voice, Raj immediately stood up and ran behind his Gudia. Radha could only watch him going away from her... once again, helplessly.
At AK's Mansion, Abhay was pacing here and there in the hall, restlessly. "I told you to not to take both of them along with you but you didn't listen to me Bebe!!" He shouted. "Madhu has promised me that she will return back. She won't break her promise!!" Bebe replied coldly. "She is RK's daughter... Cheating is in her blood!!" He gritted his teeth. Suddenly, everybody's attention went to the door where Raj was excitedly jumping and clapping behind a silent, lost Madhu. "I told you Abhay! She won't break her promise!!" Bebe taunted him in pride. Abhay was continuously glaring at Madhu and Raj but none of them paid any heed to him and walked upstairs to their room.
In their room, Madhu silently sat on the floor, still lost in her thoughts. Bittuji's words were ringing in her ears continuously. Raj was constantly shouting and laughing to grab her attention but his Gudia wasn't reacting to him. This made him more restless. He picked up his car remote and started driving his toy car in front of her but this too didn't work. He threw the remote on the bed and sat beside Madhu, who was still lost in her deep thoughts. Suddenly, Raj saw two tear droplets felling down through her eyes. He quickly wiped her cheeks with his fingers. His touch broke her trance. "Gudia! Why... Why are you crying... hunnn?? I don't like your tears!!" He spoke in a puppy voice. Two more tears fell down. "Did you do any mistake like me?? Tell me naa!!" He asked worriedly though innocently. Madhu nodded in negation. "Then, did I make any error, Gudia? Did I troubled you?" Madhu slightly smiled at him and again nodded in negation. "Are you angry with me?" Madhu smiled at him and spoke, "I am not angry with you, Raju!" "Then...? Did anybody scolded you?" Madhu kept quiet. "Hmmm..." He pouted. "Tell me his name!! I will smack this truck on his head!!" And he threw his toy truck on the other side in anger. "Nobody scolded me Raju!" She calmed him down. "I just felt like crying!" Her voice choked. "NO! Don't cry! I hate your cry!! My Gudia looks beautiful while smiling... Chalo... Smile... eee!!" And he started imitating which made her chuckle. "Now, I won't let you cry!! We will always play and laugh so that you don't get any time to cry!! And yes... I won't let any other make you cry!! I PROMISE!!" And he touched his Adam's apple to show his promise with an innocent face. Madhu gazed at him deeply. Raj didn't know what he just said but she realised- it had a deep meaning. Now she understood the meaning of Bittuji's words. Madhu lovingly caressed the side of his cute face and hugged him... making the same promise to her Raj too...!!
