Any story which tries to forcefeed several millions of viewers what they are not interested in seeing ends up unviable for its screentime, its budget and the pay of its actors.
Money talks and the majority-audience rules. Thank heaven they have been willing to endure and accept and give any number of second chances so long as a track showcases the DVD pairing in a mass-appealing way.
When the presentation ceases to be mass-appealing, the TRP noncommensurate with the timeslot, budget and leads ensures the track somersaults.
Hopefully this time, the CVs will pay more attention to the financial success and worth of the series and not so much on 'unique and interesting' creative gymnastics.
We may finally get to see a track successfully endure, unlike in the past year of forcefeeding attempts consistently rejected by mass-audience and gaining a fall from a consistent TRP 3+ peaking into 4+, into instead a considerable lapsed viewership and bouncing around among 2+ and 1+.
Wondering if they are planning to have the couple remain longer than overnight in RK Mansion along with the many mass-unappreciated supporting characters, or move to the chawl with the irritant of Leelawati and her daughter.
It might give breathing space to the fresh start if the new couple instead moves into a more mundane home-set - preferably a generic house-set on its own, rather than an apartment or chawl-set which would make the necessity for other characters a constant in all scenes rather than an occasional optional.
A small house-set with minimum rooms would give more opportunity for scenes featuring both of them.
A few episodes with as little as possible of the many post-leap negative characters intruding on the couple's scenes and screentime, so that the lapsed viewership resuming would be able to draw breath and acclimatize gradually rather than be expected to endure in full from the outset what they may have preferred to avoid for the past few weeks.
Wonder if the CVs will give that breathing-space appeal by maintaining the couple in scenes residentially separate from the two currently existent residential scenarios (RK mansion and the chawl), or maintain the couple as residing in either RK Mansion or the chawl-set, either of which options would ensure an excessive distraction at the outset of the track- and viewership- rebuilding.
My Darling Leelaa,
How my brain echoes your sentiments. Unfortunately or fortunately, so far the new beginning has been very much tangled up with the earlier period; three episode has passed and AK still ranting about his revenge . We got it 🤢, please move on with your next set of actions.
A fresh start can be challenging; especially since the viewers' sentiments are still strongly attached to RishBala's pervious story. However, redirecting the story as you described in your post could open new gateways. There is indeed so much potential, I just hope the CVs will rise up to the challenge; and conquer the hearts of the existing as well as the new comer viewers.
BTW, will they need all these extra characters? I'm sure all these paychecks could become a contributor factor towards financial restrains. I have noticed that due to popularity of DVD, the audience focus has always been on the main track in this show. Side stories hardly works here, so why waste time and capital? Guest appearances might work better than regular extras...
