And if you notice most of the average looking people that last in showbiz usually have extradionary acting skills to make up for it! Be if Vidya, Rani or Krithika Sengar or ram Kapoor from tv! So u need to have one or the other to do well! Don't know how ethical it is but it seems to be the pattern!

I love both of them and they are pretty in their own way! My mom found Vidya stunning in Parineeta!

Especially as the people with the looks if they are interested enough in this profession can work hard at their craft and become good actors, it's just as much a risk for ST to take someone like GU then it is to take a model. If Gunjan Utreja has asked for 2 months to prove himself, they might as well have gone for someone handsome the director could mould into an actor, give someone like me some eye candy, where I would believe Madhu feels something for him, from such a young age 18 years old she really fancies him, it goes with the believability of the story and it makes all the scenes worth watching, like we had today the RK/Nargis pose, his not going to change his looks right, on first glance he looks the way he does, he can't help that, he doesn't fit the bill of any girl's fantasy. I know the previous argument about SRK's looks and Saraswatichandra lead male as well, but still SRK overacts and isn't my cup of tea even though his got a unique voice that can transfer his emotions very well when his acting and you can see by his expressions his really putting everything into the performance, and the other guy from SC can't play a superstar his got the understated look of Gunjan but I don't think teenage girls are fawning over him.

I guess the reality of Bollywood actors and actresses is different from what I expect from the programs I want to watch, I guess I do want the looks.

Despite my realisation that looks fade and GU is playing a 38 year old, all the older Superstars in Bollywood their looks have long ago faded and what's left is there talent despite knowing this very well, I still want a handsome face to fantasise about when I watch a show. I don't want to think that they are more average looking people in society and many that aren't good looking in Bollywood films so I should accept the same in Madhubala. I guess we were just spoilt in the previous story with the guys being both good looking for Madhu, I just wish they had tried harder to give someone as good looking this time, so I grasped at a perfectly good way they could have done it.
