She slowly and carefully opened her diary, welcoming all the past memories and him again. Madhu pulls out the cherished picture and holds it close to her heart. She closes her eyes in pain as tears stream down her face. She dearly misses her Right Kameena.
Madhu misses hugging him, the warmth that used to radiate from his body. She misses looking into his deep, brown eyes and knowing that she does not need words to express herself. He knew just when to comfort and cheer her up. He showered her with his endless love, a kind of self-less love she has never known before.
She misses their daily walks. Sometimes he would chase her and other times she would chase him, laughing at each other's antics. They were content and found bliss in each other's presence. Madhu misses his nosiness, as he would try to poke into her business. She misses her Right Kameena's anger as she lectured and rebuked him for being bossy.
She misses his teasing, playful nature, which always managed to put a smile on her face. Madhu misses watching Mr. India together. Mostly because of his comforting, protective presence during her most hated scene. She misses how he always fell for her pouty, sad face and let her have things her way. She misses his warm, wet kisses.
Madhu holds the picture close to her heart and sobs loudly. Why did he go away? Why? She looks up at Bappa and questions loudly.
Madhu: I thought you were my friend. Then why did you take my Right Kameena away from me?!? Now no one understands me and is on my side!
She lays her head down on her soft, plush pillow and continues to sob. After a few minutes, Madhu feels the bed slowly sink in and looks up into a pair of concerned eyes.
RK (softly): MadhuâŚwhy are you crying sweetheart?
Madhu tries to speak but no words come out of her mouth.
Madhu (cups her face): Talk to me sweetheart. What has got you so upset? (Notices she's holding something and becomes apprehensive) MadhuâŚwhat's that in your hand?
Madhu (in a broken voice, shows RK the picture): My Right Kameena's picture. I miss him terribly!
RK: Ahaan. BiwiâŚyou're crying over your damn ill-mannered dog?
Madhu peers down at the picture of the cute, chocolate brown, Labrador and frowns at RK.
Madhu: Don't speak ill of the dead. Right Kameena was a sweetheart and he was more than a dog. He was family and very important to me.
RK (sardonic smile): AhaanâŚhe was so important that you named him after me, your dearest pati. What does that say about me? (Mutters under his breath) Damned dog! Even in death he is coming between us.
