As I wrote in another post:
RK was shown hurt about his father's sins . Not once did he mention his humiliation. He was referring to only what a low life his father was. That is he was referring to the injustice committed to Meera. That is why the dialogue that my father would be happy that I am like him.
But Sultan the so called determined ideal son was not shown happy for his mother. he was shown happy that he has defeated RK. He even accepted that he did had intentions of winning Madhu from RK.
