" Anuj is my ex-boyfriend"
RK froze-ed. He felt like the whole world had stop for a second.
" Anuj? Your ex-boyfriend? "
RK asked with narrowed brows. Madhu came out of her thoughts and looked up at RK.
" Uh...yeah..why? "
RK didn't reply, he became busy with his thoughts. Questions and questions were appearing in his mind.
" When did you 2 broke up? "
" Last to last year. "
RK again remained silent for 5 seconds.
" And when did you two became a couple? "
Madhu started feeling a bit strange; RK was directly asking her questions.
" 5 years back.."
Madhu's voice started becoming low and low after every word. RK was busy thinking.
' So they were a couple for 3 years..'
RK thought, while Madhu was remembering those memories she had spent with Anuj.
" So why did you two broke up? "
RK didn't think at once before asking these question. He suddenly realised and looked at Madhu who was staring at him with a puzzled look. Her look was saying 'How-could-you-ask-me-that?'
" Umm..uh..I don't want to talk about this topic anymore.."
She said and took a fake yawn.
" I'm feeling sleepy. I think I should sleep.."
She said and shifted a bit and turned her body to the either side, squeezing herself under the blanket.
" Good night.."
She said and closed her eyes, trying to sleep but she couldn't as Anuj and her's memories were disturbing her.
RK was still in the same position, he wanted to ask more but he couldn't. He wanted to know everything, he wanted to know the whole story. From their first meeting till their breakup.
And suddenly,
An idea shot on his mind.
' Hmm...If I keep my head on her head, I think I will be able to see her thoughts in my mind.. '
He thought, he knew that she was remembering those memories. And he decided to do that.
He shifted closer to her. His arm swirled around her waist, not with a tight grip. Madhu's eyes opened. RK came more closer and kept his forehead on her head. Madhu closed her eyes again. The minute she closed her eyes, she again went back in her thoughts, in her memories.
' Be ready RK..'
RK thought to himself and closed his eyes, ready to watch the movie of the memories.
First he could see all things blank. He was confused. But after somewhat 7/8 seconds, her thoughts began to appear. RK felt a little exited. The thoughts became clear now. Now he was seeing Madhu looking around, she was in a garden.
( Memory Madhu is watching, Madhu's POV )
I was sitting on the bench, I was sitting here from past 15 minutes but no sign of my boyfriend.
He always becomes late these days. Earlier, he used to come before I reached the place, but for 2 weeks, nothing is going on well. I don't know whats happening between us.
Just then, I heard running footsteps coming I way backwards, I turned my head and looked back, thank god he is finally here.
" Hi Sweetheart! "
Anuj said and sat beside me, his breath was fast. I didn't say hi as I was upset with this new boyfriend of mine. He looked at me with a puzzled look.
" What happened? Why aren't you talking to me? "
I didn't look at him, I was really upset. After 5 seconds, he took a sigh and looked down.
" Madhs I am sorry, I know I am late..."
" You're always late! "
I cut him off and spoke louder than him.
" Madhu I am very busy these days man! Why don't you understand? I am so busy with my office work but then also I take out time and come and spend it with you! "
He said with a irritated tune. As usal.
" -phew- ok...I can understand..but...''
He looked at me, still with that irritated look.
" But? "
Now what can I say him? I can't express my exact feelings. I have words but I always forget them in front of him.
" Nothing..."
I felt really angry on myself saying this answer to him. But what could I do, I didn't had a option.
Things are being worst-er and worst-er day by day. I am really disturbed. I can't explain my feelings in front of the person who I love the most. That's a shame.
" Ok Madhubala, if you are going to remain silent like this then I think I should get back to my office work. "
The first time in this year he has used my fell name. This shows that the things are becoming more worst-er. I looked at him with a bit shocked look. He knew that I am shocked by his full name speaking.
" Madhubala? Are you going to speak something?? "
I remained silent, I was blank, I didn't knew how to respond, I didn't knew how to react, his each and every word was ranging in my ears. He took a sigh and stood up. I came out of my thoughts.
" Anuj?! "
I said and stood up too. He didn't look at me and started setting his shirt.
" Anuj where are you..."
" I'm leaving. "
He said and turned around and started walking.
" Huh? Anuj! Anuj wait!..."
I said and ran and came in front of him blocking his way. He again looked at me with a irritated look and turned his face.
" Anuj..Anuj please don't leave..I'm-I'm sorry...I..."
Before I could continue, his hand came in front of my face and I stopped the next second.
" Madhu.. "
He said. I watched his hand drop down.
" See Madhu, I'm sorry. I thought that you have called me here so we can talk but unfortunately you were silent and was not talking. And I had not come here to watch your damm silent face. Better then wasting my time here I think I should work in my office. Right aren't I? "
For the first time in years he has talked so rude to me. I couldn't believe my eyes and my ears. I was still blank and silent. He nodded his head saying a no in frustration and walked past me. His shoulder hit me and made me move a bit. I wanted to stop him, I wanted to tell him whatever was coming in my mind, I wanted to burst out my feelings in front of him. But I couldn't. I stood there for 10 minutes, almost frozen. After those 10 minutes I found myself crying with snobs. I lost my balance, and I fell down on m knees in depression.

RK eyes opened. He was shocked a bit. He didn't expected that Madhu loved him so much. He turned his head and looked at Madhu, her eyes were closed but he knew she was still awake, remembering those memories. He felt bad for her, but at the same time, he was also hurt, he was feeling angry. He started feeling restless. But he controlled himself.
He felt bad for Madhu, he wanted to see more and more.
