The point is what RK did was nonredeemable. Misunderstandings are redeemable. Saying things out of anger during a fight is redeemable. But what RK did he did to intentionally hurt Madhu for four slaps. He had already done enough like marry her and ruin her public image. Still Madhu put it aside and forgave him but he couldn't.
