I love the creative team of MB.
Its gonna be a year since the show launched and yet the team has managed to keep its audience guessing as to how the story will unfold. No mean feat that.
Further, in this day and age, when every channel and its PH steers shows solely based on trps and audience demands, here is a team that is truly interested in telling a story they way they have perceived-unfazed by praises and undeterred by bashing. They do not have knee jerk reactions to the audiences initial dislike of their new tracks -be it RK marrying madhu forcibly, betraying her at the altar, the sultan track, or their constant clamour for 24X7 RK-madhu romance which if served as desired, would result in boring fare. They do as Saurabh T puts it, only promise Entertainment, Entertainment and Entertainment. And they have really lived up to their promise...just when we think the story is going off track, they deliver a twist and turn so delicious, we are left with loony smiles on our faces and feelings of excitement for whats gonna come next.
Also, these guys sure know how to close loops. Love the way they circle back to the old-today being a case in point being today, when Madhu explains her point of view for helping sultan saying thats what she learnt from her chawl family when they helped her pregnant mom flee her evil hubby. Loved the way the gulal too was used to link the present with the past. Nice touch.
The team has time and again stood firm on its convictions. When RK turned grey, they had the world bashing them! but they didnt tread the ghissa pitta route of sacrifice or blackmail etc but held on to the twist. Then again, the current sultan track and madhus involvement with him and his kid has been incessantly criticised. Today however, her emotional explanation of who she was and why she is acting this way was beautifully done and shut all their detractors. Whenever we feel they are being illogical and irrational, they manage to take the story forward in an unexplored direction that leaves you thinking "aha, i never thought of that. Yes, thats possible"
So kudos to you, Team madhubala...may you continue twisting and turning in new directions , fetching high trps and enlarging your fan base!
