Tanzie, I think the redemption track got reduced drastically in priority by intro of other guy into the mix. The male lead's characterization was butchered first for the 'twist', and now the female lead's conduct is being given an imprudent tinge.😕
What I don't understand is how many people have been people have been saying her maang got filled by other guy's accidentally flung colour.😕
I doublechecked. The make-up person has been damn careful to ensure that there was not even a speck of colour in Madhu's maang. The colour was on her forehead upto the hairline, and also a bit on her hair. Not even a trace of colour in her maang.

Actually, the red colour powder in this series is used to signify grace, I think.
The point at which one or both of the lead couple gives in to emotion, maybe.
Even during Ganesh-visarjan, they were all covered in that red powder, and RK's face was covered quite a bit in the red powder.
And ironically, even without anyone accidentally flinging the powder at her forehead, Madhu had that powder - in lesser amount - on her forehead even as they were rushing RK to the hospital after the gunshot.
Wonder which person in that crowd got the credit for getting powder onto her forehead. We never even spared a thought for that then.😕

@Leela: More for anger than grace or it could have been intentionally done to bring out passion. And yes, Sultan didn't fill her maang, but just forehead. I neither think it has any other meaning than RK witnessing it.
