CHAPTER 5

It was evening !!

RK was getting ready in his room

He wore a Royal blue shirt and black suit on top ! He looked Dashing as ever !!

Once he was ready .. He lighted a smoke again and sat by the window

Trying to calm himself down for the Gallery Innaugration ..

'Whatever happens . I need to maintain distance with Miss Mallik especially after whatever happened early in the afternoon '

Once he finished his smoke

He put on some Cologne and went downstairs

As he reached the hall he saw a lot of hustle bustle happening ...
Finally he got hold of Bittuji

'When on earth is the ceremony starting ?'

' Chief we are just briefing the media and in another 10mins we'l start '

RK nodded . Bittuji was about to leave when RK stoppd him

' Uh huh Bittuji . Did I say leave ? '

' Sorry Chief ! Anything else ? Can I get u something ? '

RK thought for a while and then finally spoke up

' Where is Miss Mallik ? '

Bittuji scanned the room while saying

' She was right here few moments ago ..well !!! OH there (pointing towards her ) right there she is Chief '

As RK's eyes followed Bittuji's pointing finger
His Gaze fell onto the beautiful Madhubala

Who looked Stunningly Beautiful in an elegant but simple Royal Blue Saree with a low cut blouse from the back and full arm net sleeves. Hair falling perfectly to her right side .

' Stunning ! ' RK's mind spoke aloud but his lips escaped only a mere whisper

'Miss Madhubala Chief is calling u ' Bittuji announced

As Madhu turned around she saw RK wearing a royal blue shirt himself . For a second she was awe struck but she quickly said to herself ' strange coincidence '

As she started walking towards RK she couldn't help but notice how Handsome he looked tonight .

' No wonder all the Ladies are staring at him ' she spoke to herself looking around seeing every woman in the hall drooling over her boss.

As she came face to face with RK

RK saw her eyes were a little puffy as though she cried a lot or just didn't sleep at all . She hardly wore make up . As other women in the party did . She just had a blue Kajal on and Light Pink lips . Her long slender neck was free from any kind of jewellery .

' Sir u called me ?! '

No response

' Why doesn't he ever respond in one go ??' Madhu thought to herself getting irritated

' Excuse Me Sir u called ???' She said aloud

' Why the hell are u shouting Miss Mallik ?? Have u forgotten I'm ur Boss ???!'

' Sorry sir ! '

Madhu lowered her eyes

RK felt sorry but this is how he is with others and she's no one special to get a special treatment he thought .

' Get the ceremony started soon . U know I don't like waiting much '

' Yes Sir I will !'

And she walked off from there.

As RK saw her leaving he scrolled his eyes towards the guests present in the hall and he saw almost every guy present there was staring at his Secretary ..

He felt something Pinch in him . But he chose to ignore .

The ceremony started

RK had cut the ribbon of the gallery while Madhu stood next to him.

After that they went inside to check out the paintings and everything .

People were continously talking to RK , but his eyes were constantly on Madhu .

She was greeting people , providing drinks , looking after the food . All that with a smile . But her eyes ...were telling something else .

Many times their eyes met , but Madhu was always the first one to look away.

After some time
she started walking towards RK . And He quickly stiffened . Trying to engage a convo with the person standing next to him , who was since past 10 mins trying to talkto RK only ...

' Sir u want some champagne ? ' Madhu asked politely

' Wow ! U finally realized u have a boss ! ' RK spoke rudely .

' I'm sorry sir ! '

' How many times do I tell u I HATE SORRY's
now serve champagne to Mr. Khanna '

' She quickly took the glass from the waiter and gave it to the Man standing next to RK '

As she was going back , RK turned to see her

When a man in his late 30's stopped Madhu midway .

' Aah ! We have a stunning beauty here '

Madhu politely said ' thanku ! '

' Oh no problem my dear . I love appreciating . Hi I'm Mr. Mehra . '

He put his hand forward

' I'm Madhubala . RK's sir's secretary '

She shook his hands

As RK saw this, his fist tightened .

'Aahhh Madhubala . Nice name . So care for a drink ? '

He didn't leave her hand . Wich made Madhu uncomfortable .

She quickly took back her hand

' Oh no sorry sir ! But I don't drink . If u kindly excuse me now ! '

She hurriedly went away .

RK saw all this silently . Now he made sure his eyes don't go off Madhubala .

His eyes just kept following her everywhr . Not even for a second he blinked his eyes .

After few minutes . Madhu felt really tired and called the waiter for a glass of juice .

As the waiter was walking towards Madhu . He was stopped midway by a man . Who took a glass of juice and went away . Then the waiter came to Madhu and offered her a glass .
Madhu was so thirsty and tired she gulped It down in a minute .

after a few seconds only as she stood up , her head started feeling dizzy .
She tried to walk , but her vision started becoming blurred .

' I think I'm just too tired . Maybe I should go back to my room n rest for sometime '

She saw bittuji and told him ' bittuji I'm not feeling well . I'm going up to my room for sometime . '

' Sure Miss Madhu . U take care ' bittuji replied .

Here RK was unwantedly being involved in a coversation with few of his colleagues .

Just wen they left him . He quickly turned around to see Madhu .
But he couldn't find her anywhr .
He scanned the room like crazy . But no sign of her .

On the other hand ,

As Madhu was approaching towards her room , someone was following her . She felt it .

She turned around to see but there was no one .

She struggled with her room keys , but finally managed to open the door .
As she opened the door of the room ,
A heavy force pushed her inside the room .

She turned around to see , the Same man who approached her downstairs .

' What are u doing , get lost from here !!! ' She trailed off shouting .

He locked the door from inside and started walking upto her
Madhu started walking

' Ofcourse I'll get lost from here sweetheart . But not so sooon !!!' Mehra smirked

Madhu's back hit the wall . He started coming more towards her , removing his coat in progress .

Madhu saw a vase next to her , and quickly threw it on him .
But he managed to catch it .

He tried to catch her , but she managed to run away..

He again tried to catch her and in process , tore her sleeves apart .
Madhu cried in pain

' Leave me u bas***d ' she shouted

Here RK immediately went upto Bittuji .
' Have u seen Miss Mallik anywhr ???'

' Oh yes chief she said she's feeling unwell so she's gone upto her room to rest '

RK felt relieved hearing that . But something clicked his mind , and he scanned the room to find that guy who approached her earlier .
But he wasn't there as well .

' Something is wrong ' he thought

And stormed out of the hall to Madhu's room .
He walked fast , very fast , losing his control on the way as negative thoughts started filling his mind.

Here Madhu was struggling hard to get out of his grip , as she tried pushing him away , he scratched her back badly
She shouted in pain

' Where are u trying to run away my dear ? '
he said as he grabbed her arm tightly , bruising it and pushed her onto the bed

RK reached outside her door. He could hear her scream .
his heart started pounding faster .
He tried opening the dooor but couldn't.

As that man jumped on madhu she pushed him away hard and tried to get up

' U bloody bitch ' he shouted

And pushed her near the sofa so hard that the edge of the sofa hit her head and she got a deep cut .

' Open the door Madhu ' she heard RK shout

' Please RK save me . Please ! ' She screamed .

As RK heard that . He lost all this control and broke the door

When he entered he saw the most horrific site of his life . His heart sank seeing Madhu's condition... Blood dripping from her forehead , her one sleeve torn .
And his fist tightened into a punch as he took hold of the filthy man and punched his face hard .
He kept beating him black n blue until he was unconscious .

He then called bittuji . Bittuji came running towards the room.

' Bittuji get this Man out of my sight right now ! '

' Yes chief , but Miss Madhu ? '

' I'll see to her . Arrange me a doctor as soon as possible '

Bittuji made a few calls and finally said ' chief no doctor his available due to the bad weather '

' Screw the bloody doctors . Get me a first aid box in my room NOW ! '

' Yes chief '

RK approached towards a scared , lost Madhu .
He covered her with his coat and took her to his room.
