Second, completely agree with what you said. What was the point of trying to figure out RK's character if the entire thing was about revenge? It takes from being a complex man to being a total caricature- a parody villian so evil that he belongs in a cartoon.
How could any woman want to go back to him? Madhu would have to have a pretty intense case of Stockholm Syndrome to even contemplate thinking of steeping within 5 feet of him, let alone falling in love with him again. Shoddy idea, stupid execution. Which means it'll probably get TRP's. Fantastic.
But then again- if the big twist is revealed by the promo, that can it really be the big twist? Or is it getting us hyped for what we think is going to happen, when something else happens entirely.
Or it could be that I am trying to be too optimistic. But seriously, RK would have to be a total sociopath in order to continue to act even in private, with no one around him, internally monogramming about his father and Madhu.
I'm going to try and enjoy Madhubala until Saturday and not waste a week worrying about what is going to happen. I think that is the best way to go about it. If they do go with the revenge track, then I'll just keep writing my fics and I guess talk to you all in the chat club, as I won't see the serial until they get back on track (6 months maybe?)
And to think, my biggest quip when I saw the episode (before I came online) was that he was going to be drunk when he consummated. I thought he'd forget the morning after. Eesh.

Now coming to this bizarre twist...if it is entertaining, then again it will sell. So many viewers were asking for revenge and all. So this way...see the original story has Madhu as pitted against RK...and that point per the promos, he would have done anything to make her enter movies to simply avenge himself.
So now they are going to original premise of RK being the antagonist to Madhu. Anyways we all knew MEIEJ...was all about grey characters. Nobody is right here. How many times I have not said Madhu is just wrong to go after this man initially...sometimes, when one does unthinkably idiotic thing...the story keeps going on...very easy for Soap Dramas to thrive on ORIGINAL SIN. Its like the christian story...where we continue to live our life out of sin.
In all of this, I am feeling bad for VD. Because, suddenly and inadvertantly, a lot has been pushed over his shoulders to call it off...he needs the drama to be convincing. As an actor he may like, not having to play...mushy mushy love scenes...but then he risks popularity chart. But again end of the day, he is a salaried actor, he needs pay check to take home...he knows he might just be the next Viraj Dobriyal (Soubhagywathi).
The real villain is TRP and Colors for Sourabh Tewari and team. The real stand off is between viewers and Sourabh Tewari. He wanted to show something else and people keep wanting something else from him. In my opinion, I would say, listen to the story writer. It is his story. People made him change the story...it might take worse turn to get back to heroine track.
Again talking sensibly...I guess, he had the heroine track only as antagonist to established star, else it would never have happened.
In that case leaves me with ONLY ONE SAVING GRACE STORY for RK...which is his visit to Sitara Studio and his shedding tears there. If this was like the forgotten drama of Sikky stealing Dips jewellary, then for me that is the Biggest Blooper. Since my premise of RK character was based on that incident with prior screening of his anger at Madhu questioning his ego and him losing his control in that bottle breaking scene. I always keep in mind events for him until that point. So how can Sourabh Tewari justify that ? There was no Madhu there.
