Many people are criticizing Madhubala for her actions today. But I am extremely pleased with the steps she took. I am tired of clich heroines on the telly screen and their mahaanta portrayal of what a means to be women. In real life, everyone has shades of grey in their character. More importantly, the experience in a person life molds their character. Madhubala from the inception of the show until now has been portrayed as person who is caring, kind hearted and above all selfless. Now she took an unorthodox step to revenge her mother's culprit. RK started all this chaos by publishing photos of Madhu in the press, but now he is just getting a taste of his own medicine. I know people are upset in the dramatic shift in Madhu character, but the shit she has gone through justify this. I know from personal experience, dramatic negative events can act as a catalyst to change a person behavior.
We have already seen how events can transform a person on this show. RK as child was really innocent, and loving person. Then his father died and his mother married another man. Which led him to becoming the evil prince that he is today. In general, what Indian television series tend to lack is character development. How can we expect Madhu to be the same person she was before she was married? She has gone through hell, the person who she considers god is in the hospital with life support. Her mother has been insulted countless times, and the sister she loved so dearly hates her. All of the problems in Madhu life are cause of RK. So my main point is that I am happy with the direction that the creative team is taking the serial. I don't want to see same bogus story line I see in all the other serials. I want to see tint of negativity evil in madhu character as she rises to stardom and a little humbleness in RK character as he realizes the mistakes he has committed.
Most likely, on the Monday episode Madhu will not publish the photo and might find another way to make RK apologies but I really hope that is not the case. Even if she continue to use the photos, that doesn't make her evil. Her actions are perfectly warranted.
