Its good thing Meenu...i asked mom yesterday..she said coconut is used on every single ritual because they believe it removes bad omen and its a getter of good luck..personal asking bhagwan to fulfill your wish..and water is very sacred..that is reason it is distributed as theertha here

Its an auspicious sign as it welcomes and blesses Maddy's entry into the film set. Since Rishabh offered it to Lord Ganesha, it means that Rishabh will be the genesis of Maddy - as her husband and as her mentor/co-star.
