Before I begin...

Warning :

I am really really bad at writing good posts. My forte is commenting...hailaaa.....just realized main kitna comment karti huin😕 (Note to self ' Apply for Commentator's job when GauCha plays in IPL as envisioned by Achu).
Like my comments...this post is long.🥱

Anyways...it's been nearly 2 months that LNMDJ has ended and the craziness continues (Am I glad about that one). There are many people who want to see their favourite jodis back onscreen. Here, I am concentrating on the actors that played my favorite jodi in LNMDJ...

Gaurav Khanna & Chandana Sharma

I really hope to see these 2 or GauCha (as lovingly called by some fans) onscreen. But that is not the only reason why they should do a show again😉😆. So, Why Should Gaurav & Chandana be cast together again?

Reason 1 ' (No Guys...not their captivating chemistry...Gotcha😉). Acting Capabilities.

Both GK & CS are seriously good actors. They have proved in their previous shows that they are really good at emoting and can carry a scene through on their capable shoulders.

When 2 such brilliant actors come together...the effect has to exceptional. They complement each other in this department beautifully ' no one overshadows the other. A good scene can be done by just one actor but for an extraordinary one, 2 needs to play the game. Refer to showdown scenes after Elaji falls ill once the truth is out, scene before PTC out, suman's death, their proposal scene...just a few to know what I mean.

It's a crime Not to showcase such brilliance again. By their own admission, they never rehearsed...and yet never failed to mesmerize us when they shared screen space.

Reason 2 ' Visual Appeal.

Aesthetically they complement each other. Two very good looking people just improve the aesthetics of the frame they occupy by 1000 folds when they are in it together. Neither looks way older than the other, nor requires layers of makeup to improve their looks. Subtle, clean looks which are just classy. His tall, strong frame perfect for her lithe, slender, almost fragile beauty.

Reason 3 ' Intelligence.

Both the actors appear as intelligent people and hence interpretation of scenes are bound to be at a similar level. One can pick up the cues from the other easily without hampering the flow of the scene. Certainly helps when improvisations are happening on the set...a lot.😆😛

Reason 4 ' Experience & Equality.

They both have experience in the industry and share an equal footing as actors. Neither is in awe of the other which might creep into scenes. Hence the chances of delivering a scene equally well are much higher.

Reason 5 ' Chemistry.

I left this all important one for last because I wasn't sure I could add anything new to this one. Their chemistry is legendary. They sizzled the screen even when they were fighting...so when they romanced....😍

Mind you, they portrayed 2 characters who onscreen did not share even 1 passionate Hug, had 1.5 kiss on the forehead, never really held hands, did not have the usual romantic filmy gestures, barely any song, had 1.25 dance in 9 months and yet transported us to a different land. They just needed to be in the same frame and sparks would fly. I am not qualified to define or analyze it...I just know what I saw. And I believe you me...I saw.

Refer to Swetha, Jhan, & Mru's earlier posts, Maz & Achu's Caps, Skorpy, Sunn & Maham's VMs on this...they have definitely done a better job of describing this one. I just get lost when I hear the words.......GauCha & Chemistry. 😳

PriDa was immortalized by GK & CS and I cannot think of any other actors who could have done this. Forget better.

I sometimes wonder why am I so fascinated & crazy about these 2...I am a practical & sensible person (I know it's hard for many of you to believe....but please try😳😛).

Maybe because GK & CS as PriDa they made me believe in Love. Beyond the silver screen...deep in my heart...believe that it is possible. An all enduring, all encompassing, against all odds, Love. And that is the power of these Two Extraordinary actors & individuals ' Gaurav & Chandana, together.

Let me know what you think and add your reasons...would love to hear from you. I am sure many feel the same way.

And if we are lucky, maybe some production house will have mercy on us. If not...we will live with the good fortune of having seen GauCha together onscreen once.

Sorry if it came across as a gush fest....Miss them loads & this is just a straight from heart Hope...

khushi di wow what a post u shold email this to cvs or other production houses then they will become greedy to take gaucha,and well said they r the best couples,even no other jodi than prida attracted me

Word to everything you have said here Khushi .. it really pains me to see any of their acting capabilities being seriously misused .. That is wat I wanted to say from a long time, just coz I criticise some1's acting or role, doesnt mean I am being a " UNTRUE Fan".. It just means that I care about these two wayy too much to just sit back and see them doing stuff, where I dont see its worth..

Again.. Word to everything you have said.. Khushi.. They complement each other .. isn't wat a good jodi needs to do? I mean you can have one actor givng his or her best, but the opposite party cant match up, the whole thing is kinda waste ... but GauCha always complements each other.. they enhance the scene with their sublety and nuances, no OTT expressions and thankfully no OTT songs..

Yup.. agree with you, 10000000000% ... even a mundane scene seems like a classic with these two on screen.. they give it their own personal touch .. that is the mark of a great jodi ..

I agree... They started out raw I am sure at some point.. havent seen their earlier series to mark it .. but now they are Pros .. and so it hurts even more, when I see any1 of them act in scenes where even a rank newcomer can do.. nothing special abt it .. nothing to showcase their talent . .it hurts.. Khushi .. It really hurts.. though the actor may be giving his/her best, it still shows ..the effort and that is bad... acting should be effortless and it has been demonstrated by these two amply in LNMDJ ...

THESE TWO REDEFINED CHEMISTRY.. and seriously any1 who dares to call them COLD .. need to get their eyes and brains checked pronto ...

First some well deserved hugs 🤗 for a fabulous post 👏

GauCha complement each other beautifully. Their trust each other must be absolute in order for us to see what we saw on screen. The actors must be attuned to each other's moods, able to pick up and give cues to each other unseen by the camera and hence by the audience. 😳

James Dean said "When an actor plays a scene exactly the way a director orders, it isn't acting. It's following instructions. Anyone with the physical qualifications can do that." 😛
We all know that the reason their scenes came out so well is because they never rehersed 😉 and they improvised on the spot and if one improvised, the other ran with it. So to use a sports analogy, if one lobbed the ball to the other, they did not drop it. Instead they caught it and ran with it. 😃 So they were perfectly suited for each other in that regard. THEY MAKE AN AWESOME TEAM 😃. So what we saw on the screen was some really inspired acting by both of them. and some fantabulous team work on their part. 😳

What is very surprising is that there was never any awkwardness between the two, even at the very beginning 😳. They were very comfortable in each other's presence and set the screen afire from the first encounter. Their chemistry was sizzling even when they were adversaries. Whether it be emotion, grief, happiness, bitterness or anger - they did a fabulous job of portraying every one of these emotions that left us spellbound 👏 👏 👏. Unfortunately, this has becomes the yardstick by which I measure all jodis now and have not yet found another pair that intrigue me like this one has.

I would like to make a particular mention of the Ya Rabba sequence when they were both crying. Both of them were outstanding in that sequence. They say that the toughest part of acting is the comedy sequences and more importantly the crying sequences. I have seen several actors mess the crying part up royally to the point that the sequence turns unintentionally comedic 😛 With these two the portrayal of grief was so real that we felt like weeping too 😭. And let us not forget the boatloads of tears we shed when Ila died 😭 (I cried for the first time in my life over a TV series ).

Of the romantic scenes where do I start 😍 😍 or on second thoughts do you really want me to get started 🤣 🤣 ..... cos then I will write a thesis. These two had amazing sequences, none of which were cheesy (thank god) 😃. Chandana stated in an interview that she felt awkward doing the Mar Jawan sequence and I remember reading the same about Gaurav. But you cannot detect that in the Mar Jawan sequence at all. They were both in the moment and giving their 100%. They are capable of elevating the most mundane cheesy sequence to another level. Case in point the tea sequence. 😉

Moreover as far as romance is concerned they just needed to stand next to each other and have a mundane conversation and the scene would be romantic. May I point to the scene where he tells her that the Gujral empire is bankrupt or the one where he consoles her in the hospital after Roshni's poisoning. 😃 These are such serious scenes but there is an undercurrent of romance that runs through it.

They do not need to kiss each other, sing songs, dance, hug every 2 minutes, call each other non-stop, make romantic gestures to each other, buy each other gifts galore or even tell each other "I love you" over and over again. This was another hallmark of PriDa. The gestures were always subtle - a look, a touch, a comment......and the audience got the message. Their communication was always subtle, sophisticated and beautiful to behold. I think that is the reason they fascinated me...... because they spoke with their eyes and their subtle actions rather than with over the top actions and endless dialogues.

Taking some poetic liberties ahem in interpreting this line 😉........It did not matter how long these 2 were on the screen aka LNMDJ only ran for 8 months....but they did such an excellent job that they will live in our hearts forever. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Edit: It saddens me when some people hint that I am not a true GK fan because I do not watch his new series.😔 I cannot identify with the show and trust me I tried, and tried hard . I have no patience for anything based on the caste system and all the nonsense associated with it 😡 😡 😡. Hey it is not my cup of tea, but lots of other people do like it 😃 and I am happy for him. 😃 I do not judge anyone for watching and liking the show 😳. I would appreciate it if you did me the same courtesy and did not judge me for not watching the show. At the end of the day we are all GK fans. I may not watch the show but I do wish him well. Just my point of view. No offense to anyone, please. 😳

First of all, thanks a lot for this, as I, and I'm sure many of us were waiting for something like this for long... Now here comes my perhaps not-so-sensible inputs... 😆

Each of the reasons you mentioned, and the points which you brought up in support of them, are absolutely spot on. As actors, GK and CS have proven their mettle time and again, and the secret behind their brilliance as actors is perhaps the fact that they are so spontaneous in front of the camera. Whatever they emote, never comes across as exaggerated or out of place. And that happens only when you actually feel with the character you are portraying. For this very reason, I am not wrong when I say that they are one of the finest actors of the industry today.

They share an equal footing with regard to their versatality, they have an equal amount of experience, and are both capable of producing the extraordinary when it comes to acting. So when two such actors come together on-screen, the general buzz will always be that they're going to sizzle together. But we've all heard of the famous proverb - "Two swords never fit in one scabbard". In their case too, this saying could have easily been proven right. The fact that is wasn't, needs to be attributed to GauCha's off-screen chemistry. They always held great respect for each other, and never encroached upon the other's style of acting, which is precisely the reason why they were able to produce such amazing results together. That is where their spontaneity, and the well-executed improvisations came from... and that too, without any prior rehearsal. In short, as you said, they complement each other.

Here comes the bit about their chemistry, which took us all by storm. They could stand miles apart, and still produce the same electrifying result, which most of the other on-screen pairs could not even get close to, being inches apart themselves. PriDa has been born out of this very 'out of the world' chemistry, and that is why they're different from the others... they're one of their own kind, and that's why we love them...

Their intelligence on-screen remain unmatched... They didn't need words... Their mere presence spoke volumes... And we all know what magic their resourceful improvisations were able to weave... From the aesthetic point of view, it has been globally agreed that they look good together. Yes, they do speak of class as a pair. 😉

Guess I've atlast finished making my points. 😛 Khushi Di, thanks again for this wonderful post. Made me realise why I was so obsessed with GauCha in the first place. Wish I could complete the only work left undone, that is to send these posts to the Production Houses... We want our GauCha back! 😳
