S hveta Salve's career has been on a high after she was crowned the second runner-up in Sony's dance-based reali- ty show Jhalak Dikkhlaa Jaa. Her role in Sab's Left Right Left has come to an end. She is now seen in Smriti Z Iraani's home production Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aas- man on Star Plus. She plays the role of Mallika..a business woman who wants to grab land from Iraani (Uma) to make a mall. Salve says, "Smriti is a dear friend. I've known her for a few years. When she called, saying she had a role for me, I agreed immediately. I trust her to give me a good part. "It's good to work with an actor-turned-producer since she has been on the other side. Smriti recent- ly threw a party and it was nice to see that she had invited the entire unit, right from the tech- nicians to the crew mem- bers." Thodi Si has received an extension for 100 episodes. Salve has been travel- ling in India and abroad for her shows. She has just returned from a holiday in Goa with her fianc Rodney Barnes. Sony is planning the second season of Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa in September. This time, the winner of the first season, Mona Singh, is likely to anchor the show. The buzz is that Salve will be given an equally important role. The previous hosts were Parmeet Singh and Archana Puran Singh.
