Well...I think DJ's are over doing the "not so perfect character" thingy like you said. They wanted to create grey character from naina's totally white character but they should have started this right from season1 of LRL and not now.

The character's not grey at all now...its like...it has become like a chessboard...kabhi white kabhi black...not an uniform mix of white and black to give us grey

Well, I haven't seen the epi yet but from ur analysis and the update, I can't ait to see huda naina scene...huda is one character that they have got right in season2 and they're making him even more lovable than before!
