Provogue & Maxim set the city afire with the fashion fiesta & party of the year!
A fashion extravaganza & a wild party hit the city last night as Provogue celebrated the success of its 'Spring-Summer '06 collection' in tandem with the first Annual Maxim party in Mumbai.
An unforgettable evening, the fashion extravaganza kicked off with Russian dancers steaming on the stage, followed by the Provogue – Cargoes & Tees collection – showcased by none other than the entire crew of the soon to be aired SAB TV serial "Left Right Left". The crew included the lead pair, Rajeev Khandelwal & the stunning Shweta Salve who took to the ramp and performed on the serial's unreleased title track composed by Vishal – Shekhar's & sung by Kunal Ganjawalla.
The unique 'heaven meets hell' theme of the party sure seemed to be every man's dream come true, where the hottest girls could be seen doing anything from a Coyote Ugly style jig at the bar and pole dances…to steaming up the wild way in cages. While MAXIM ensured a bevy of beautiful women, White Mischief heightened the indulgence by ensuring the drinks don't stop flowing throughout the night.
The highlight of evening of course was the showcase of Provogue's Spring-Summer'06 collection, sported by the cities most revered models. Provogue showcased its entire array of collections as summery shades & intrinsic styles schmoozed on the ramp. Provogue Spring-Summer'06 showed us what icy-cool style is all about this season. The first sequence in casuals showcased funky denims, comfortable cargoes, tees and printed shirts for both men/women as well as men's casuals with innerwear followed by an entire linen collection in cool summery colours. Provogue unveiled its entire line of men's formals and fashion wear for women. Provogue in its indomitable style and panache unveiled some of the hottest collection of the season and redefined summer comfort .Think natural, raw and basic at the same time urban, sleek, and sexy.
Looking on and soaking in the vibe were Bikram & Schauna Saluja, Ujwalla Raut, Achala Sachdev, Ken Ghosh, Mink & Punu Brar, Salil Ankola, Riyaaz Amlani, Rithik Bhasin, Riva Babbar, Vikram Bawa, Ken Ghosh, Hrishant Goswami & Gauri Babbar and the very lovely Neha Kapur-Miss India. The quickest entry and exit was that of Neelam Kothari & Nandita Mahtani, while Carol Gracias walked into the party in the wee hours-post midnight. The model brigade turned up in full force – Tapur Chatterjee, Lubna Adams, Zulfikar Sayeed, Bunty Grewal, Niketen Madhok, Achala Sachdev, Muzammil, Acquin Paes, Adam Bedi & Nisha Harlale, Ajay Balhara, Aditya Bahl, Vj Archana, Shabbir Ali, Owais Khan, Vj Ramona (in a stunning Falguni & Shane Peacock) & VJ Tina Thadani, Bharat Arora, Mridula Chandrashekhar, Raman Lamba amongst other. Surprise entrants were singers Mika and Faakhir. Hand in hand throughout the evening were Manoj Bohra & Teejay Sidhu – who was incidentally the compere of the evening. Also last but not the least the very elegant Sundari Khan (Fardeen Khan's mom) made her presence felt at the fashion soiree.
