I dont follow the show no more but happened to catch a bit of it recent, and agree completely with peoples thoughts on the forum, certainly Trisha is no angel! and the show lacks real zest even though it promised to be bold, it began on a good note but gradually yielded to the common typical tropes played out in indian soaps, with your helpless but all perfect bahu, admired by the good people, against the bad guys who only incline to bad actions because they are bad people and have to portray such badness
Amrita is delusional about Trisha and her belief in the absolute innocence of her blatantly spoiled daughter and her own inflated superiority and pretentiousness often masks the reality, she is a human prone to mistakes but everyone seems to want to brush that aside and glorify her -(people like Kushaan and his kids)..As a mum she is not perfect as is promoted by herself and others, it is obvious that there is something lacking in the parenting, eg Sanya, being reared up by the maid shows how much care and time Amrita has to bring her up herself, and with Trisha, her behavior speaks for itself but Amrita is ready to ignore less conspicuous facts about Trisha, like her demeaning attitude to others, and her not respecting the teacher in school lessons. Prateek is not the only one that is guilty, yet he is being made the villain and all the blame falls on his shoulders
So this becomes yet another depth-less immature and underdeveloped story of good people fighting bad people rather than a complexity of human characters, though some like Lavanya tend to bring this across in their characterization, owing to her brilliance in acting rather than any deliberation in the story/plot/writing
and unfortunately Varsha comes across too lovelorn and desperate although thats probably not what they are aiming for either way, it feels rather superficial in approach.
