OS: Socha na tha!

Hola people!

So after lots of torture to my pea-sized brain i managed to write a piece of Scene for "Apne Deewane Jodi"..The scene where Dutta-nakkusha cross the last fence to become one in every sense of the word was not really up to the mark. I didn't want panting and pawing and unnecessary sensation....but wanted something sweet and pure like their love. Basically i wanted a song sequence shot...preferably.."IS Pal" from Aaja Nachle or "dhadkan zara rukh gayi hai" from prahaar as used in one of the previous episodes of laagi tujhse lagan aired in last march.

But since many of the things we wanted were not really granted to us...i decided to have my own One shot scene for the ultimate union of two souls which breathe for each other.

OS:Socha Na Tha.

He hesitated a little before touching the soft silky tendrils falling over her face. Her huge eyes looked at him with innocent blind trust in them. He sighed inside,"Kaise meri zindagi mein aayi hai tu…kaise? Mere itne paapo ke baad bhi kaise mujhe tera saath milla nakku?"

She looked at his face and felt again that it was all a dream. She will wake up any minute now and realize that she still was running on deserted roads calling out to the blank sky by his name-SAAB…SAAB!!!..Or maybe she will open her yes to see that she was still the maid's ugly daughter who yearned for her master's word of kindness and could only dream of his love. She felt him caress her hair and break the spell,"yeh sapna nahi hai..sach hai. Ab wo chand mera hai…sirf mera..kaise ye sapna sach hogaya…aai to aisa sapna dekhne se bhi maana karti thi…kaise sach ho gaya yeh khwab?"

Dutta held her hand in his and gently laid her down on the bed. She looked up at him unblinkingly with the faith and love shining in those green depths of the sea in her eyes. He felt himself drown in them, melt like ice left on sun drenched road. He let himself go. No. He felt himself slip in those pools. As she beckoned him to lose himself in her, she held him to her like he was her anchor. But he knew he was the one drowning and she was the safe harbor, the sanctuary which kept him safe in darkness surrounding him a few days ago. He peppered her face with small kisses as she blushed. He smiled at her shy closed gaze and let the love wash over them and envelop them in its warmth.

They lay spent in each other's arms, the warmth of the night balmy and soothing the hurt of the pasts. Dutta called out to her softly-Nakku, Aye nakku! Jhoopli ka!(So gai kya?)

Nakku smiled and cuddled closer to his chest-Mmm..Dutta grinned in her hair and held her close tucking her head under his chin- Tu jaanti hai, maine zindagi mein wo shanti kabhi mehsoos nahi ki jot ere saath jungle mein ki hai. aisa lagta tha jaise naya jeevan ho..par hamesha aaisaheb,baaji,roops,leela..madhu..inki yaad picchey kheech leti thi…kala tai ki baatein chubhti thi…par phir bhi aisa lagta tha..ki agar zindagi mein bas yahi hota to kaisa hota? Kissi ki nafrat ke bina…kissi ki jalan ke bina..dhokey se pare…un masoom logon ke beech humara chota sa ghar. Apni aankhon se naa dekha ho..par teri aankhon se dekha hai..nakku…humara ghar.

Nakku- Saab, ghosla to wahi banta hai naa..jahan apney ho…humare aapne to yahan hai..hum thodi dinno ke liye kissi aur ke ghosley ko aapna maan bhi le to wo humara to nahi.

Dutta- apno ke bina ghar nahi hota…sach kaha tune…aaj paheli baar khuli aankhon se ek sapna dekha hai maine…par ye sapna sirf mera nahi…humara hai. Khushiyon se is ghar ko bharne ka sapna.

Naku got up holding the sheet to herself and looked back at him- Saab, apne mujhe apna ke…mujhse itna pyar karke mera damaan to pahele hi khushi se bhar diya.

Dutta got up and cupped her face in his palms- umhhhu….tune meri zindagi ko samet ke, mujhe pyaar sikha ke mera jevan badal diya….tere meri zindagi mein kadam rakhne se pahele…us raat se pahele…koi kaami mehsoos hi nahi ki…dhokey ka dard saha tha..par kissi se kabhi itni mohabat hogi ki…ye socha nahi tha…koi mujhse pyar karega..mera haathon ke khoon ko aapne maang ka sindoor bana lega..ye soch na tha…

Dutta kissed her eyelids and held her close to his chest. He could still see these eyes in his mind's eye looking at him stealthily from the back seat of his car…Scared..innocent…thankful..curious..He had been struck by those eyes even then..though his mind had not accepted it his heart had known his destiny in those eyes.

Nakku moved her hands lightly over the solid back nad meshed her hand in his springy soft hair, holding him to herself tightly. The fear of losing him still so fresh in her mind, that she could still taste her own tears. She wondered at her boldness. She had only ever dreamt of this moment, of this right to hold him to herself like this but had never believed it would ever be true. When has a mere mortal had the right to touch the bright light of the moon. He was her moon and yet he was hers..in her arms…and she wanted him to stay there forever.

Nakku's eyes opened to the sound of birds chirping near the window. A sparrow was desperately knocking on the glass plane of window with its tiny beak to wake them up. She raised her eyes to his sleep drowsed face. He slept with so much innocence like a child's. She remembered the last time he had been asleep like this. She had braced herself to break a promise to him for his sight. She had been so scared yet determined to do it for him. She smiled as she remembered her goodbye gesture that night. Slowly she untangled herself from him and crept out of the room to freshen up for the day.

Dutta's eyes opened to the sound of bangles tinkling in the bathroom. He stilled at the strange yet familiar sound of the glass tinkling together. They were strange because within these walls he had never woken up to these sounds yet familiar because they made his heart jump like they did always.

She stepped out like a wet siren from the ocean drying her dark ebony tresses with his scarlet towel. She smelled of his soap and the same familiar smell of herself. The blend was heady and intoxicating.

He pushed himself up on an elbow and looked at her tenderly. She stilled when his eyes met hers in the mirror. She turned slowly as he curved a finger at her indicating her to come to him. She kept the towel at the edge of the dresser and came to edge of the bed.

Nakku- saab, aap..tayyar ho jao..main neeche jaake nashta banati hai…sab sath mein nashta karenge. Aur phir..

Dutta grabbed her hand and pulled her closer- Aur phir? Phir hum mandir jayenge, hai na? Nakku nodded.

Dutta- theek hai….par ussey pahele…mujhe neend se nahi uttayegi.

Nakku- pan, aap to jag gaye..ab kya..

Dutta grinned evilishly at her- abhi kahan jaaga hoon jabt tak tu theek se naahi utta deti. Mujhe wahi chahiye jo is subha ko sabse haseen banna de. Nakku understood his meaning and went three shades of red. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him and leaned closer, she closed her eyes tightly. Dutta looked at her face and let her arm go. She snapped open her eyes. He smiled tenderly at her and tucked a curl behind her ear- jaa…jakey aapna kaam kar le… Mein aata hoon neeche..phir tujhe mandir le jaunga..hmm..jaa!.

Nakku got up and held her wrist where he had held her and turned to go out of the room. As dutta began to push away the bedding he felt her turn suddenly and place a soft tender kiss on his cheek and move away.

He looked in astonishment at his shy wife's retreating back as the door closed behind her. His surprise gave way to a wry smile which bloomed into a contended silly grin as he dreamily got up from the bed and walked towards the dresser to pick his towel. It was damp and cold. Few days ago he would have thrown a fit at his towel not being dry and warm for him. Today, it felt heavenly to hold the soggy wet thing in his hands. He lifted the thing to his face to inhale the most beautiful scent in the world- the scent of his woman. He walked towards the bathroom to get ready to join his family to breakfast. His family and his wife- His love…Kabhi itni khushi aayegi meri bhi zindagi mein…socha na tha!

offffffff..... Shilpi,firstly thankyou for completing what even in my wildest dreams I could'ent see ,but imagined a thousand times in my heart.... It was sooo pure and so within the characters of Dutta and Nakku, especially Dutta's conversation. Nowhere did you deviate from the two lovers as we know them. The whole act was preconceived as what usually happens between a newly married man and wife, but it was laced with simplicity and a laid bare reality of being part of each another long before consumating their marriage.... that which is the marriage of souls,which always existed between Dutta and Nakku!

incidentally shil... as you may have ascertained from my response mein nay socha na tha ko dream nahi mana ,mera liya such hai... you may say a reader's interpretation.... waise thumarha kya jaiga bibi agaar mein nai such sumajha.xxxxx you see mate even if i tried to write os,ff in true Dutta/Nakku style, when it comes to writing their conovos I would fall flat on my face ,as I struggle with writing urdu/hindi words in english.... thats where your forte shows, especially in sochaaa naaa thaaaa[singing] x

Don't tell me 'Is pal' was your dream song too....it is such a less known song but so damn beautiful and soulful na😳....

Shilpi yaara...tune to dil ke saare armaan pure kar diye...the moments which we could not have in our beloved show, you brought them and made us visualize them through your words and see through your eyes...loved how you took that scene of Dutta hesitating to touch her hair...and continued with your version of story..beautiful, soulful...
What do I say...I see what is the hype about your FF all about😳
