MISSING: The unpredictable Dutta!

Ok guys! So I have been going thru lots of posts in the forum. I see emotions yo-yoing everyday in the forum. People are right from their POV and nothing I say will really change the way you think. So I am not going attempt that either. For me LTL is more or less the same LTL I have been seeing from the start. The show has had its ups and downs right from the start and those who have stuck to the show have been rewarded...u know sabar ka phal meetha hota hain types.

But then I too was thinking something is missing in the show...we have the same Dutta...same Naku...same Baji...all are in character. So what's lacking? After a lot of thought I realized what really have I been missing from LTL-Its the ulti khopdi unpredictable Dutta. So dont get me wrong...Dutta is still ulti khopdi...but his reactions to dhoka in marriage no. 1 and 2 were more or less same except he's been a bit mellower now. What happened to the Dutta that surprised us with some of his actions like-
1. When Kala kicks Naku out of the house Dutta goes and gets back not only Naku but also her whole family and forbade his family from interfering in his personal life.
2. When everyone expected Dutta to handover Naku to his sisters to get tortured by her he decides to have her around all the time...torture her himself...make her his bodyguard etc etc.
3. After Naku saved him from Anna's goons at the mandir everyone thought Dutta would now give his marriage another chance. Instead he decides to release Naku from the marriage.

This unpredictability in Dutta is missing...Dutta is in character but he has been acting as he has earlier. I know situations are similar but here the CVs have to think out of the box.

Frankly I dont mind 'the third angle in tasha's life' track as long as we get something new...something unexpected. Now with new elements(Chaskar) and new situations(third angle, Naku's pretty face) the CVs have a chance to get back zing back in the show with Dutta's unpredictability so that it stands out from the usual ghisa pita tracks in other shows.

PS: I know some people didnt like yesterday's epi as there was no Tasha but I loved seeing Dutta at work.

@Liz: I agree...LTL has taken some typical scenarios and given them a classy twist. As in many shows the bride changed mid-way...but the way the whole change happened was totally dramatic and suprising. I'll say even the FR was a surprise as I never expected Naku to do the FR.
Btw I love the idea of Dutta thrashing this guy(or any other guy who looks at Naku) and keeping Naku around him to apparently to keep an eye on her. That would trash Kala's plans just as they used to get thrashed earlier.
I guess thats why the slap track was disappointing as Dutta reacted just as Kala hoped and it was Naku who turned the tables and not DSP.

@Rosa: I agree...wish they hadnt chopped off the bandage scene. That would have helped make the Friday's epi digestable.

But yeah i love dutta in all his roops..drunk,sober,lover,fighter, shallow, friendly, angry,romantic....the prince and protector of poor and weak and the scary and cold-blooded killer..i love him...i love him..

i think i'll forever watch this show just for this one character..the one with all his perfect imperfections...the one who makes me love him and hate him in the same breath.
