As much as i agree with the slow pace and some predictability the show is facing right now, I do think it is justified. This show has shown gradual progress of characters, how do you get a shift in Dutta's thinking overnight? How will he just "listen" to Naku overnight? How will he trust Baaji after all the security blunders, when he has not solved anything or even brought any clues to the fore?
To me, what the CVs are probably trying to portray, is the difference between Naku and other women in his life. He has pride and he is prejudiced. How does that get shattered? By small incidents right?
All instances after FR are pointing in that direction:
Incident 1: Bullet track, would Seema or Supriya have done that, no way
Incident 2: Slap - Would Dutta have slapped the other 2 - no, because he didnt care for them as much
Now Incident 3: The other man - So Seema and Supriya both had other men in their life, Dutta had living proof in front of his eyes. Now that Naku knows what Kala is upto, she is going to foil her plan for sure, another push for Dutta to think that all is not what it seems.
They have to show gradual change in Dutta, he is a short tempered and a scarred individual, and dont you think he has mellowed down to large degree, where he is protective of Naku and Baaji when needed? He would not have done that with Sups and Seema ever...
So, I really think we need to be patient, every show has its highs and lows...and not everyone may like it, but this is very much in character for everyone...just my POV :)
I understand your points. And yes, a sudden or abrupt change would not make sense. But I honestly don't think the CVs are doing what they are doing because they are trying to develop the characters. I say that because the twists and turns have been so laughable. And I think everyone is past the point of "is Naku different from the other women in his life?" We've been seeing that since early this year. And the other thing I am sensitive to is they "tweaking" the character of the characters...yes, Dutta is an angry young man. But his brooding and rage have been over the top. And then you have Naku. I will refrain myself but will say that she is numbing...I think they have to start wrapping the story up and not keep introducing these little developments. I'm tired of it.

I understand the frustration here and I also agree with you that Dutta's rage is getting the better of him, but I sincerely feel, that another man competing for Naku's affections will bring out the softer side in him. Until now, Naku had to stake her claim over Dutta - over Supriya, over Seema (in his mind), now what I would really like to see, is Dutta staking his claim over Naku over this other man. Maybe more men, because, everyone thus far in Naku's life, except Dutta has lusted after her. He needs to understand this, because that is the key to her past.
