AWESOME POST!!!
Beautifully worded!!! I felt exactly the same way about yesterday's episode!!! I actually read your post this morning but didn't have time to reply to it, and now when I came home I was like I have to find it and comment!
I love the way you've said everything. THIS is exactly why I love LTL too. Amongst all the OTT-ness and Kekta type vamps/twists there is some amazing writing and character development. Esp. regarding Dutta's character and Dutta-Naku and the Dutta-Bajji bond. It's too beautiful for words.
I esp. LOVE the bits in bold (which is pretty much your entire post!!), lol. But I wanted to highlight those bits especially since that's exactly how I feel too.
I completely agree with the dragging bit. I don't mind this type of dragging at all! Where we actually see gradual groW*H in the characters, meaning to each and every WORD, every look, every dialogue. There is something about the way Dutta is touched by Naku that is SO sweet to watch! The way her innocence, her faith in God and her positivity affects Dutta is too beautiful. And I have no complaints with the way the creatives are developing the DN love story so far. *touchwood*
Totally agree about the Kala bit. That's what I thought too. Very interesting how that was shown. Kala's words are doing just the opposite of what her intentions are it seems. Dutta is starting to not be as affected by them. In the end, like you said, it was Naku's words that stayed with him.
I just found it so interesting that Naku's words about her baba: "Bachpan mein jab main gir jaati thi toh baba mujhe uthate the. Ab jab aaj unke pair ladkhada rahe hain toh mera farz banta hai unko sahara dena. Unki galtiyon ko sudharna". It was interesting how these words of Naku remained with Dutta and he was contrasting that with his own feelings about his dad.
It just shows how Naku believes in second chances, she believes in the good of people. She's really the only one who saw beyond Dutta's outward anger and turmoil. She saw his goodness, she could see into his soul for who he really was when no one else could.
And I agree about Naku being different from other "sati-savitri" types too. Normally these perfect kind of characters irritate me too...but like you said Naku's innocence and just how real she is does touch you. And more than anything it's the way she affects Dutta that intrigues me the most. 😍 The way she gets through to him when no one else can is just beautiful! 😍
I LOVED that last scene too! Some genius writing there once again! Loved the way Dutta looked at Naku when he woke up. 😍 And the way he was so intrigued by what she was doing. LOVEDD that dialogue you pointed out too, "Tu nahin jaanti ki teri yeh masoomiyat mujhe kitna sakoon deti hai" Awwww 😍 And you can SEE that serenity, that 'sakoon' on his face na?
Another bit I also loved, previously to this scene was how Naku places that blanket on him and says, "Kitne dino baad saab ko aissi neend ayi hai". Awww so true! The guy has been so hurt, so conflicted, so confused, so unaware of how to deal with everything that's been happening to him, it feels SO good to see him at peace. :)
Coming back to that end scene, just loved Naku's words about God testing you and then giving you strength also. And Dutta's halke se tear brimmed eyes as he's listening to her and just BELIEVING everything she says. Loved the bit where she talks about how your hands play a role in your destiny and how it's all "in your hands". Once again, amazing writing, symbolism and meaning to the whole scene! Such interesting perspectives and thoughts, and WAYS of showing Naku's faith in goodness, her positivity and how it affects Dutta.
Loved the way Dutta had this confusion over how she's always so positive. And he asks her whether she can see his faults. And loved the way Naku reassures him that he's not weak. He's just too emotional. Again, just LOVE the way she gives him strength and reassurance always. Always sees the good in him, making him see and BELIEVE the good in himself!
Dutta is one amazingly well written character- all his faults, his inner conflicts with himself. I LOVE how's SO imperfect, so unable to deal. And the way he's always hard on himself also. But it's Naku's faith in him that strengthens him, calms him, makes him want to believe the goodness he has within him.
Goes back to that scene from earlier this week where Dutta takes Naku's face in his hands and looks deep into her eyes and says, "Teri ankhon mein main khud ko dekhna chahta hoon, Tujhe jo mujhmein achayi dikhti hai woh dekhna chahta hoon"...something to that effect. But really, through Naku Dutta can see himself clearly...he can believe in himself more. She's this positive and inspiring force in his life that like you said brings him serenity and happiness. And it's SO SO beautiful to watch!! 😍
Once again, AWESOME post!! 👏
