DOTW: How should Naku reveal herself? - Page 2

-Should Babi somehow step in now since she was the one who first started the mess?

I would like it to happen this way...but we all know that it wouldn't be as simple as that!

But I'm not also sure that Naku would accept Dutta's proposal without revealing her truth to him! She would probably come back to the PN and look for suitable opportunity to talk to him! Dutta meanwhile might calm down on his own(may be after a conversation with Baji) and put down Naku's refusal to Kala's harsh behaviour??(again assuming that Baji would talk about it to him...I feel that it might happen because they showed Dutta noticing Baji coming out of Naku' room!) Just guessing!

I just hope the CVs handle this face-revelation thing sensitively without going OTT!

I know I sound very unsympathetic, but this Naku confusion/self esteem issues make me want to pull my hair out. I figure that would be less painful than watching her confusion and Dutta's sadness.

So how would I like to see her reveal herself?

It's pretty clear SHE needs to be the one to reveal herself. Nothing else will do, in terms of fitting with her character. I would prefer it if she would come back to the niwas and go to Dutta. Dutta is at a weak point right now, but he is open to listening to her.

She should tell him she loves him, and there was no bigger truth for her. Naku should then talk about her desire to be with him, and yet how one thing keeps haunting her--that of hurting him. Why? Because she has kept a secret from him and everyone and that is her face. Naku should then tell her story about why Babi had covered her face with soot, about her guilt at not having told him, her fear that if she had revealed herself he would hate her too because of his hatred for beauty. She should then take her dupatta and miraculously wipe off that stuff from her face.

And, finally, she should tell him, I've told you everything now. Whatever is your decision, if you still want to marry me, I will happily marry you again.

^That sounds like the most reasonable scenario. The only thing I'd add is that Nakku should lay down her sister's story as a prelude and get Dutta to sympathize with the reasons and circumstances which forced her and Babi to do what they did before actually telling him the truth. If she strikes when the iron is hot (i.e. Dutta is a little sympathetic and she tells him that she had no other choice but to hide herself in order to avoid her sister's fate) it may be that the revelation will be a little less tougher on him.

One thing's for sure...if Nakku toughens up and reveals everything to him like it was her 'majboori' (which it was) rather than deceit on her part, it will fare better with Dutta. If she talks too much of breaking his trust, his hatred for beauty, etc., it'll be like dropping the hammer on her own foot. Like gp00 said, reveal everything to him and throw the ball in his court...let him decide how to react after that rather than labeling herself as a betrayer for him by default.

The way things are going in LTL right now I seriously feel that the Face Revelation is gonna be NOW and infront of everyone.
Dutta is not going to react as we think I mean look at yesterdays episode! We thought he might react angrily, did he? No! He didnt!
Dutta is changing, Naku's Love has changed him. I get the feeling now that it doesnt matter what Naku does he will still love her and want her. We've never seen Dutta in Love before remember? He might be one of those "I will move Heaven and Earth for you" types😍

Whatever happens I think its gonna happen BEFORE the wedding. I think she's gonna tel him THIS week and it will definitely be in front of everyone. I bet Naku wll be put into a position where she has no choice but to reveal herself in front of everyone. In fact it may even be by accident!

I've noticed one thing about Naku. I'm not sure if it is a great thing or a personality flaw. Naku generally does not like to make decisions about herself...and whatever decisions she makes, she thinks she is right, that she knows what is best. Eg. Sups' cheating on Dutta pre-marriage, now keeping her silly face secret when something far more important, Dutta's heart/love, is at stake. She acts like she knows life, because she has seen pain, because she grew up in a basti, because she knows sacrifice, because she has made them. But sometimes she has to take her "NAKU-TINTED GLASSES off" and think...really think. For example, when Dutta was speaking with her yesterday, his weakeness, his confusion, his hurt...did Naku NOT register that? Or does she think that is BEST for him, versus saying she looks different. What is a bigger betrayal to a lover? To be told he is loved time and again and then rejected for no reason OR to tell a big secret like her true face? Does she not fully understand Dutta right now? Does she honestly think seeing her face is going to make him HATE her, even though he does NOT hate her NOW, even when she has rejected his love?

I really have begun to ask these questions of Naku's character now. I know many will disagree with me on this opinion of mine: that the CVs are screwing up Naku's character, in a small but noticeable way. I hope they do not make a similar mistake with Dutta as a result.
