STAR Plus continues to be the No. 1 general entertainment channel in Week 31, with a relative share of 25 per cent. It has added 42 GRPs over Week 30 to reach 365 GRPs. Colors, which is at No. 2, has nevertheless lost some ground. With 289 GRPs, its share has dipped from 23 per cent to 20 per cent.

Sony has replaced Zee at the No. 3 position in the latest week. From a relative share of 12 per cent, its share jumped to 18 per cent, while the GRPs leapfrogged from 162 to 270.

The credit for this largely goes to the movie, 3 Idiots, which the channel aired on July 25, Sunday. The movie recorded 92 GRPs for the channel and a TVR as high as 11, which is believed to be the highest any movie on TV has garnered in this year. Until now, the highest grosser was the movie, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani which was aired on Colors. It garnered a TVR of 7.

Besides, what worked the magic for Sony is CID. The show's weekly GRPs increased from 39 in Week 30 to 84 in Week 31.

With 16 per cent relative share and 227 GRPs, Zee is at No. 4 in the latest week. SAB is a distant No. 5 with a share of 6 per cent. Imagine and STAR One have relative shares of 5 and 4 per cent, respectively.

Sahara One and DD1 have garnered a 2 per cent share each, while STAR Utsav has garnered a 1 per cent share.

3 Idiots was the most watched property on Indian television in Week 31. Pavitra Rishta on Zee was the second most watched show, recording a TVR of 5.7. Balika Vadhu follows with a TVR of 5.4.

Two shows on STAR Plus are at No. 4 and 5 ranks; Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Pratigya have garnered TVRs of 5.3 and 5.2, respectively.

The other shows in the top 10 are: Uttaran, Bidaai, Na Aana Is Des Laado, Saathiya Saath Nibhana and Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo.

LOL! its actually funny to see some shows there making to the top 😆 but then they are heavily promoted.. while our LTL ...... 😳

I wish they would have aired a promo on the dream seq.. It was one of the best directed and acted scenes i have seen so far, Many ppl who arnt even a Fan of the show have admired it...

anyways.. too bad for colors!

Thanks for sharing but I think it's Colors Channel that is not ready to promote LTL. All other shows are promoted really well and so they r still in the top ratings. I agree with Saraw, it's actually funny to see such shows in the top ratings. 😆

Hopefully Colors will promote LTL and that's all I can hope for. But I seriously have no expectations from this channel. 👎🏼

Exactly! i mean last week they promoted the "so Called" consummation scene so well 😆 till tonight theyjept showing LTL's same chaye waala promo but uttaran which was a part of a combine promo gets fresh scenes... such biasness i tell u .. Aisay kaisay chalay ga? First they stopped Fridays ... and the worst is that inspite of promoting CDD and IGT so well they arnt getting the required numbers in return ... but still are adamant.. rassi jal gaii per bal nahi gaya 😆

Promote LTL. Colors will get back to no 1. I can't believe they did not have a promo for that dream sequence (Ambar pe) and why don't they have a promo for today's epi. 😔

U should have gone to uttaran forum.. they have some "wonderful" things to say abt that particular scene 🤣

come think of it yaar, a hight point is abt to happen in LTL .. nakusha is going to get KIDNAPPED! and MAN there was no trace of a promo! if it would have been anandi then colors would be giving their usual cout downs for that..

such injustice MAN! kahi aisa tu nahi ki colors dont see a Potential in LTL??? 😕
