Aayi Sahib is a case - really - quite irritating at that. Kala at least is consistent with her behavior and mentality. She has used Dutta - uses Dutta - will use Dutta in the future forever. She hated Naku - hates Naku - will hate Naku down the road as well. Aayi Sahib on the other hand is so unpredictable and inconsistent. Forget Naku she has even been like that for Dutta - all about convenience. He fell in love but when his heart broke for her it was about her son establishing financial security and a good life for them all (basically at any cost). Then later on he was to marry because she wished it. Now because it's convenient for her (to keep her son safe and sound) in a snap she made Naku her DIL and what not. I know I sound like a broken record since this has been discussed before but next to Aayi Sahib Kala is a piece of cake to predict and tackle.

You are right.

I might sound strange here, especially since I myself was annoyed with her lately (after liking her in the start), but I can at least understand the reason behind accepting Naku suddenly. Yes, it is egoistic, but she is a mother and it's understandable that she wants to see her son safe. That doesn't have to mean that she sends Naku every time with him when he goes out. For me, that's not what this "shield" means. And if she- we don't know if she does, we never are shown what she thinks - but if she thinks that he won't just have his lucky charme at is side, but a wife also, a companion he already has a soft spot for, then I can't really blame her for this decision.

But she still owes Naku (and Babi too for letting her crying alone with Sethji on the kitchen floor for examples) an apology. But knowing her, Naku and Babi I know it won't happen. She would probably don't think about that and if she does, then Naku and Babi would surely stop her and be willing to forget all.

Ah, I guess I got carried away a little bit. Basically; you are right😆

LOL I get what u are saying. As a mother yes she's got all the right to look out for the well being of her children but it's just strange because she allowed him to enter such a lethal profession and then acts as if it is any surprise that his life is constantly in danger. Babi too is a mother but I feel her love is a little less selfish - she seems to be concerned about both Naku and Dutta. Naturally Naku more but there is room for concern for Dutta. She doesn't take people as disposable - whereas for AS that's what it seems like - people are disposable depending on what the situation demands. Ironic since Dutta deep within isn't like that at all - hence his apparent pain at the loss of those around him.

Absolutely! To me too Babi is the better example of a loving mother! Don't forget that Sethji once was heading a similar path (criminal, smoking and what not) and Babi did exactly what I expect from a mother and what I would do too. She stopped it before it was too late. To hell with all the financial problems, your kids and their lives/futures come first.

And she loves Dutta as well like a mother and is more worried for his feelings than his own mother it seems. It's just that AS is such an great actor and loves to play the emotional card. Always blackmailing everybody emotionally (poor Baji, roaming the jungle in despair and what did AS do? Scold him!).

It's just that as a mother I do understand the sudden acceptance of Naku- and only that. But it still comes across as cheap, because she is- again- acting like Mother Teresa herself, like royalty, being oh so generous. Letting bygones be bygones, as if she never did anything wrong (but I must admit she is quite good at her acts, she is an expert at making it look as if she really didn't do anything wrong, at least not intentionally Kala learned from the best I must say).
