Update 17

Mumbai India (3 month leap)

In the US, Kt frequently woke up with bad nightmares alone and cried several times. She tried really hard to forget what had happened but it seemed at times that things were just getting worse. As usual her daily thing was to wake up, go out for a workout with Wahida and Maryam. Then around 11:30 she would reach home, ate a healthy breakfast and left for work. It had been exactly 3 months that Laksh had left her to go back to India. She never really ever knew what her relationship with Laksh was but she knew it was something special. At work many times Kt dreamt of Laksh being with her, but obviously he wasn't there. Kt now worked as a Doctor's assistant at a very high pay since she was a pre-med student. She worked very hard everyday and gained a lot of experience. Finally some of her wounds were starting to clear up and soon she was going to be ready to go to India with her family with she dearly missed.

In India Laksh had finally finished up college and worked at his new office that was gifted to him from his family. The only difference with Laksh and Kt was that Laksh knew that he had fallen in love with Kt but Kt still didn't think of them like that. Laksh as usual also worked out in the morning with his elder brother Nakul whom he worked in the office with now. Once in a while both brothers would have their fun and just learned to enjoy their life. Nakul new everything about his little brother because Laksh was never able to really hide anything from him. At times Nakul found Laksh lost in his thoughts in his room, and usually always gave advice to Laksh to just forget everything.

Finally, those 3 months had passed by and Kt now was walking inside the hospital with her stethoscope and her white lab coat on. As she walked in, everyone greeted respectfully. Her first stop was in the childrens ward where she visited cute little children who fighting with cancer and other disorders and disabilities.

Kt—Hi!!!!!

The kids—His doctor aunty!!!

Kt—How are u all!

The kids scream—GREAT!

Then kt walked up to each kid and gave them their chocolate of the week. The kids and her had a deal that if they all behaved everyday, at least once a week their Doctor Aunty would have to bring them all their favorite chocolates. Kt loved looking at the kids being happy after receiving them chocolate. All of the children's eyes lit up with happiness and it just made her day. Before checking the kids she noticed a tiny little girl looking at the window in the corner.

Kt—Lucy?

As she walked up to the girl by the window slowly. Lucy was a 5 year old white female who was fighting with Huntington's disease. She was in the hospital for a month and Kt just adored her.

Lucy—Doctor why did my parents leave me here?

Kt gently knelt down to the Lucy's height—You miss ur mom and dad a lot don't u?

Lucy—yes…vevie vevie much. (very very much, kid talk lolz)

Kt—Lucy your mom and dad love you very much so don't feel so down. Now look up eat your yummy chocolate.

Lucy—you provmise mommy and daddy will come to me?

Kt—yes I promise….

Kt turned around all upset wondering why the Johanson's hadn't come to see their daughter. As she quickly left the children's room, her next stop was at the senior room where she always went as well for daily round check ups.

Maryam also worked in the same hospital, except she was with the psychologists. Since that was what she was going to do now. At first she wanted to just take the easy way in Business and Finance, but ever since Kt's accident 3 months ago, she suddenly had an interest in psychology. Maryam knew all along that something was wrong from the way Kt behaved before and after the incident. She even had Kt's case filed in her clinic for checkup and changes. She knew that Kt needed help after the incident and so she had convinced Kt to go to a psychologist. She had taken Kt to her friend who was one of the best psychologist in the state and now since she was a psychologist herself she had taken Kt's case into her hands and something about it just bothered her except she couldn't get her hands on what it was. Maryam studied Kt's case day and night when she went home but still didn't seem to understand what exactly could be wrong, but Maryam knew she would never ever quit.

After Kt's rounds with her senior patients she walked up to Maryam's office since it would be their lunch break soon. Kt walked into Maryam's office and sat on the seat until Maryam was off of the phone with her patients.

Maryam—No….listen Miss Patty….why do you feel this way?
Pause (only one side of the conversation)

Maryam—Have u thought about another decision rather then just committing suicide?

Pause

Maryam—But Miss Patty u said that you were a tough woman right, then why would a tough woman give up so easily?

Pause

Maryam—so will you be coming?

Pause

Maryam—Good then I will see you in 2 hours

Maryam finally got off the phone and then looked at Kt and gave her a big smile.

Maryam—Hey darling! Ready

Kt—Yep.

Both Maryam and Kt walked out of the room and went for lunch.

Mumbai India

Nakul—Hey little bro, kyun aisa chup chup bethayho (why r u sittin so quietly)

Laksh—Kuch nahin bhaiya, I was just enjoying my free time looking out at the moon.

Nakul sighs—U know what, jabse tum yaha ayeh ho, kuch badle badle rehthe ho…why? Dekho Kt yaha ayegi kuch he dino ke baad….then its ur chance to tell her how u feel.

Laksh—Bhaiya, its not as easy as it looks. (as he looked down thinking about what Maryam had told him over the phone a month ago.)

Nakul—Kya tum bhi Laksh, u r a Virani, and man are we good with girls….sure she will be yours no matter what.

The someone comes from the back and pushes both Nakul and Laksh.

Shivani—So you to duffers are sitting here? Chalo na kuch karte hai.

Laksh—Shivani kya hua….why do you look weaker everyday?

Nakul—are u not eating properly? Shiv u seriously look very thin and weak.

Shivani—uh….woh bhaiya kuch nahin hai….u see I stopped putting make up on so you see the weak spots on my face.

Bhoomi—Yea yea….make up u know covers everything, even the scariest looking people.

Shivani—Hey!!!! U know I look hot Bhoomi…k? (she stopped as she didn't have the energy to argue)

Laksh—Oh you two will never change.

Nakul—Hey at least its fun watching them fight, the house doesn't seem so so quiet then.

Shivani—So who is the girl bhaiya? Kya woh Nandani Aunty ki badi beti to nahin na?

Laksh—Kya, Shivani funny very funny. (laksh looked at Nakul thinking he told them.)

Shivani—Bhaiya don't look at Nakul Bhaiya like that…he didn't tell us nothing.

Bhoomi—We just know.

Shivani—You can't hide anything from us….so please don't try to next time.

The room goes silent and all four look at the moon quietly as the wind blows on their face. Laksh imagines Kt with her….Nakul just hopes to see his brother happy…..Bhoomi imagines herself with her love, and Shivani wishes that no one finds out about her secret.

Finally in the morning everyone in the Virani house are running around to fix up the place and to decorate it beautifully for a party…and here out by the airport a new character enters.

The background music of Aye Pappi from Kismat connection plays while a girl with beautiful hair walks down the plane. She lifts her sunglasses up to the top of her silky hair and walks down her private jet. She sniffs the air of India and gives a big smile.

Girl—Finally, I'm home.
