Whom should married men listen to?

I read some posts in this forum from which I came to know that Tulsi forced Karan to marry Tanya. It is also written in some of those posts that Karan should have refused to marry Tanya. This thread is inspired from those posts but it raises a more generic question.

I have noticed in several houses that if a married man sides with his wife and goes against his parents, then people start criticizing him. They call him jodu ka gulam. They say that he does not give respect to his parents simply because he is married.

On the other hand, if a married man sides with his parents and goes against his wife, then he has to hear things like: -
He is torturing his wife. He should understand that his wife has come from another house and she deserves love from him. etc.

Even if he sides with the person, who is right, then also he has to hear all sorts of criticisms.

I have witnessed it in some families whom I personally know.

So, what should the poor husband do?😕

hhow about a balanced compromise and not side with anyone, judge for himself the situation and take action accordingly. as for karan, its too late for such discussions and whats done is done.
