How can people do that?? Getting married within the family?? I find it very disturbing, evn if it sint a proper brother or sister, cousins are still considered like a brother or sister!

You have to accept it happens. In all races. religion and society it happens.

I know it is disturbing but it happens so what can one do? it is common.

In punjabi culture, your apparently not even allowed to marry someone from your village....like your neighbour...but hopefully people will change overtime...as society starts to accept the fact that it is already difficult finding a suitable match.

But I think marrying a cousin is like incest.

GROSS!!! but at the sametime we are not accustomed to this idea...so I can understand muslims....they way their are raised is different...we call our cousins "bhaji" from like childhood...so we can not imagine...but they are raised to think of their cousins other than brother/sister.

same here...im gujrati and we also cannot marry anyone in our villages...but we consider our cousins like bros an sis...it doesnt matter if they are in an extended family...they are bros and sis!!

KSKBT is a hindu gujrati family,in Hindu you cannot marry ur cousin, cos ur cousins r like ur brothers and sisters....so i dont think Nakul and Sanchi r consins.
