Stop blaming Ekta about showing rape!!!!

If we close our eyes and pretend that rape and murder does not exist in the world we are doing a great injustice to the victims. If we are aware that these horrible crimes exist and feel so passionatly about abolishing it, then that is the most important thing. I think Ekta is trying to bring light to the situation not because she has a sick mind. I don't know what is happening to the morals of the Indian people but rape. molestation, and crime is rampant among Indians especially in the households. Do you know that 36% of housewives are raped in India every year. That means that 360 million woman are raped every year in India, and I find that disgusting and unacceptable.

ya i understand what u mean but its not a reason to show a rape in a serial, and mostly when the show is a family one...its really disgusting to show such things on tv...it happen in real life but is it a reason to potray such thing on tv???showing such thing on tv is like an insults to all those women who have actually been raped...ekta is showing it on tv as if its something normal and on top of that it is in a fictional show....its soo pathetic

u know when they showed anndinis rape it did have a gr88 msg in it..like if u r married doesnt mean u can force urself on ur wife n i guess if even 1 husband would realise after seeing that then ekat has done gud job...but i dont see wat is the use of this kt ka rape

i am in two minds about this issue. you are right and so is the author. i dont think we should all pretend that we live in a happy go lucky world, and face reality that rape does happen more often than you think. you might not hear about it everyday, because some woman will not come forward or sometimes it just doesnt get into the news cycle.

We hear more about how in sudan, darfur the neighbors and the militia gang rape a woman because they consider it ethnic cleansing. 🤢But did you know in south africa men with aids will rape children like babies as well in the hope they get rujevenated and be cured from aids. I saw this documentary on how a 3 year old baby girl got raped by a grown man with aids. You should have seen this girl's eyes, she didnt say anything she just stared at the camera, it was so hauting to watch. It was hearbreaking to watch, I cried so much and nothing till today has affected me as much as that little baby girl. After the rape, the poor thing couldnt walk, it took a very long time for this child to recover. In the end she did a little dance and smiled so beautifully, and I never could imagine how after everything she had the spirit in her to dance. I prayed that the light in her never gets burnt out and she recovers fully. 😭

I think tv can be used as a medium to bring out certain controversial issues to light and stir quality debate. This can be healthy, but where do you cross the line.

you know in serials all over the world rape is shown as serials shows the life of people and it happens unfortunetely to people.its not the first rape ekta is shown.remember nandanis rape or muktis rape, who doesnt even know that it was a rape that happened to her, she found out later plus she found out it was her best friends husband. rape is a very cruel thing that happen to people.i think its a way to open the eyes of people

I Understand that this happens in real life and all, and it is important to know about it but look at it this way. There are thousands of YOUNG children that watch these serials and it is not good for the to see such scenes. The shouting,and everything is not good for a small childs brain. It could affect badly, so therefor if Ekta wants to bring alert to this she should finda another way or rate these serials PG 13

yes this happens in real life n no1 is denying that,but 1)this is a family show which kids of various ages watch
2)secondly they always make a mockery of rape in ekta's serials.sumhow every1 turns against the victim n she has to fight all alone for herself..tht doesnt happen in real life
3)people watch TV for entertainment or to relax n unwind or to get away from pressures of real life.but if such things r shown,very soon people will stop watching
4)thr r many shows on news channels which show real life stories of rapes,etc......it doesnt need to b shown in a fictional family drama

Of course, no one actually wants to see a rape scene, its sickening...but its reality....art imitates life, and life imitates art...we are always blame that ekta's shows are so unrealistic (which they are) but rape happens...watching rape scenes makes us cringe, but it also forces us to be more cautious...a lot of young women get raped while they are drugged...there are some really sick people out there, and the most vulnerable are kids...they are so innocent and trusting...What I don't understand is why is any of ekta's shows called family dramas...kids shouldn't be watching them....Aside from rape, there is adultry and other various mature matters going on....I think young kids shouldn't watch ekta's shows period....but to be brutally honest, kids know more than parents nowadays....
