ITA awards recognise the efforts and achievements of the cast and crew behind the television shows that entertain us. It gave away awards in over fifty categories including acting, direction, make-up and visual effects, to name a few. The event was well attended by the television fraternity like Smriti Irani, Maninee De, Mihir Mishra,Karan Oberoi, and Mona Singh among the many. The awards also saw the presence of film stars including Asha Parekh (who was heading the jury), Jackie Shroff, Shilpa Shetty, Amrita Rao, Rakesh Roshan and Jeetendra.
