1001 is flashed on the screen. An idol of Ganeshji is shown. Baa performs the Thulsi Pooja. Ekta kapoor gets down from the car. She is shown with her feet first, the usual way. She picks a Thulsi leaf from the creeper and walks towards the photo of Ganeshji. Then she invites the audience into the virani household. Everybody sees her and either does a pranaam or most of them wave. Then Thulsi says lets ask questions to Ekta

Baa: How did you think of just a big parivar with such a varied characteristic?

Ekta: I have seen such families around him. There would be a Baa, Savitha. People would greet each other with a Jai shree krishn. I have seen such Gujarati families.

Savitha: Have you been influenced by Kyunki?

Ekta: Yes & No. I have good and bad within me

Ganga: Thulsi Maa has five sons. Whom would you choose for a life partner?

Ekta: It would be Karan. Inspite of not exactly belonging to the family, he has immersed himself in this parivar. And the way he loves Nandini, hope I get somebody who loves me like that for a life partner.

Thulsi: Which is your favourite scene?

Ekta: Its one of yours, in which you describe that Mandira is alive to Savitha

Then Ekta continues: When I saw that scene, I realised that a Thulsi had immerged, who is something much more than my imagination. A character that could stir the viewers and really make them feel what she is undergoing

Damini: Your favourite character

Ekta: Its Baa. She is similar to my Amma who is no longer alive.

Harsh: Thulsi Maa?

Ekta: She is good. Thulsi is a character who more than love, symbolises the right and wrong, logon ke moo se "O" nikhal thi hain

Indu: Why don't you get me married, its been five years

Ekta: Have I married. You will get married, within a month of my marriage

Karan: What is the central theme or something like that

Ekta: This is a mirror of the society. Thank you for letting me capture it on screen. Even if I am no more the show will go on, cause you will keep it alive.

There is a rangoli with 1001 and all characters around it

Nandini: We are happy with our performance. But don't know what the audience really thinks

The characters meet the public

Most people said they of course like Kyunki. Most people liked the concept of a joint family. Characters are good. When Mihir dies, they really cried. As people speak of their favourite scene, a flashback is shown. Following are the comments from the public and the intervening scenes.

The name of the serial was supposed to be "Amma"

It was then suggested to be saas bhi bahu thi. And because of the "K" factory Kyunki was added

The first scene was shot on 7^th April, the day of jitendra's birthday

Mihir is played by 4 characters – the first one Jignesh Gandhi never was seen by the viewers.

Apart from Amar, Suzzane Khan who was shortlisted to play Mihir, is successful in Kasautii Zindagi Kii

KSBKBT started with a TRP of 1.6. Ekta did actually pray at Balaji. The TRPs broke records soon. When Mihir was shown to be dead, morchas were carried out and stirred the nation like no other character could.

The most expensive scene was that of the death of Ansh. It cost 5 lakhs. His entry was also grand.
