It was trip-down-memory-lane time for telly actress Kamalika Guha Thakurta (Gayatri of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Revathy of Baa Bahoo aur Baby) while judging a classical dance contest at the SIES College, Sion.

Not many are aware that Kamel (that's what the telly fraternity calls her) began as an Odissi dancer.
She was part of a dance troupe for many years in Kolkata before she shifted base to Mumbai and began acting.
"In these times of Nach Baliye, I was surprised to see that there are many youngsters who are still inclined towards classical dance. It is heartening," says Kamel who takes off with her daughter Khushi to Kolkata for the New Year.
