THEY were out of their saas bahu avatar in the reel life. But not quite! On December 4 at Yashwantrao Chavan Sabhagruha, the ever-conflicting saas-bahu carried on their reel life drama through a play titled Kuch Tum Kaho, Kuch Hum Kahe, directed by Tushar Joshi and produced by Smriti Irani, Feroz Bhagat, Pranav Tripathi and Tushar Joshi. The very popular Irani and talented Apara Mehta charmed the audience and had their fans asking for more. In Kuch Tum... the saas and bahu share a great rapport. The story evolves around challenges and a reversal of roles between the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law. | < ="" src="http://ads.expressindia.com/banner/iestoryban.js">< ="" ="text/" src="http://banners.expressindia.com/adsnew/adjs.php?para=no&n=529074303&what=zone:363&target=_blank&exclude=,"> | | < target="_blank" method="get" ="http://banners.expressindia.com/adsnew/adclick.php">< name="dest" value="http://www.shaadi.com/partner_search/matrimonial_search/searchresults.php" ="">< name="bannerid" value="697" ="">< name="source" value="" ="">< name="zoneid" value="363" ="">< name="gender">< value="female">Bride</>< value="male">Groom</></></> | < name="age">< value="18 - 25">18-25</>< value="26 - 30">26-30</>< value="31 - 35">31-35</>< value="36 - 45">36-45</>< value="46 - 50">46-50</>< value="51 - 99">99-50</></> | < name="photograph" value="Yes" ="">< name="ptnr" value="ie200x200" ="">< src="http://banners.expressindia.com/grfx/btn.gif" height="18" ="image" width="75"> |

| SMRITI SPEAK Smriti's take I have been blessed! Not every one is so lucky to get so much love and adoration. As for the play, it revolves around the relationship of two women. I play a modern day business woman here. Future plans I generally don't disclose much, you should wait and watch. I am doing a new serial for Star TV and another Gujarati play. On politics I have been assigned the task of getting more young girls into active politics. Besides that I want to bring more youth from the smaller towns and lesser influential societies into main stream politics. On Pune Pune is all about family and friends. It's a place where I get some peace of mind. APARA SPEAK Apara take I play a mother-in-law with a difference! I am a homemaker and Smriti plays Sargam - a modern world woman. Future plans I am too full with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, but have kept my connection with theatre alive. I am trying to create a good theatre culture in Hindi, like we have in Marathi and Gujarati. Smriti rapport We are joint together by the hips! Her role in politics has come as a surprise. I am proud that she has craved a niche for herself in politics, as well as acting. On theatre Theatre is my life and all my political connections also work for furthering the cause of theatre. Pune passion I admire the city and its people. Pune has treasured its culture for so long. Moreover, Punekars understand art in the true sense. |
