CVs surprised me - a pretty good scene!

After the weeks of disappointment and irritation, todays epi was partly cool - to be precise the second half. The fist half was pathetic: Anu winding up the local kids to pester P and local residents getting angry at p. a so-called "meaningful" scene between P & M. (Incidentally, this sort of thing would have been digestible and possibly even emotionally satisfactory if P had not become so unbearably disgusting at the time when the plan was still to make M move on) The setup is:Tarun is to introduce his mom to Tani's family. They are all waiting in a restaurant, normal family nok jhok. Then everyone is shocked when Deboshree walks in but no-one says anything. no loud music, no rapid flashing on everyone's faces (ok just a eetle bit!😉) Then in a very natural way Deboshree turns in her seat to talk to Mona discreetly and asks whats up how come you & Pradeep are together & Mona explains. This ONE scene reminded me why I originally liked this serial. The normality of the dialogues and relative absence of melodrama was sooo refreshing! CVs could have done the whole "how dare you, come away from these scheming middle class people etc" nonsense, but they showed a mature woman talking sensibly to another woman who she knows and for whom she has a certain level of respect.
And here's the dramatic twist - Debo says but "who is Shaurya I dont have any such nephew...and I'm not so busy or absent minded I'd forget family. anu doesnt have any such cousin... (A lesson here - life is easier if you're sensible and avoid drama)
Ok now we get the flashes to the faces but thank goodness the music is subtle!
The only other serial which more or less fulfilled the potential this one showed in its earlier days was Maryaada. Seriously folks, that was one to watch.

Sad thing that normalcy returned when the audience ran away screaming after weeks of bulshit.

Even our heroes of WU are gone. Can't blame them 😆

Thanks for your post. I got an idea what happend today. MonPra is too disgusting to watch so I don't thinkI am going to watch any episode again. I can't bear Mona and Pradeep on screen.

Tip: Today watched Barfi. Fantastic movie!

Agree with that...Maryaada was worth watching! Very bold for these times, although the serials of the '90s were much bolder (and far more progressive)!

But then, that was TnD. Whatever their level of arrogance, they still know how to tell a good story...unlike Ekta's brain-dead CVs.🤢
