The fact that there is NOT one Balaji show that has written a story for a character like Rishabh had already sealed the deal that he is not part of a couple. He is not even the lead. Yes, there are people who actually appreciate his character for the exemplary nature he exhibits, but the story is not about him or his journey. It was always PreeRan. There are times when I think it's actually good that he is not the final man for Preeta, otherwise, we would have not seen this kind of man on our screen. In KKB Ranbeer's character was also very good, but it remained good till he didn't become the main lead and the show fell on his shoulder. So till Abhishek Prem Mehra was there to bear the brunt of being the leading man, Ranbeer remained a very rational, cute, romantic, to-the-point man. A person who would take a stand. He was not mature like Rishabh, but definitely a courageous person. After the original couple left, his character started deteriorating and it has not stopped till now. The day Rishabh becomes a lead, I am afraid he will face the same brutality from the writer's pen as other male leads do. I feel these shows are not even written for characters like Rishabh. Rishabh is a very subtle, nuanced character. For him, the whole story will have to become more detailed, each character will be needed to have depth. There has to be some near to real situations as he is not a loud person who's emotions are always out of place or who would unnecessarily react or keep on doubting his loved ones to keep the story stretching. A practical man needs practical situations to shine. They might have put him to attract the audience from the overall spectrum of tv viewers, which is why they are in this business.

yeah got to admit, karan is a shitty and disloyal lover, but rishabh has always been top most priority in his life. It was for rishabh that he became friends with preeta in first place (after preeta-karan getting to know sherlyn has a secret boyfriend after her engagement to rishabh) and it was because of rishabh he started hating preeta (after he thought preeta took a bribe from sherlyn to help her marry rishabh).

He always believe in others than preeta

That's his major drawback.

But preeta still wants to be with him

Rishabh is way too important from the over all story perspective. Lead or parallel lead, a character like Rishabh deserves to get explored more is what I feel. He indeed is one of the best written male characters of ITV.

I don't think they r considering him lead even parallel lead.. Ekta and balajitelefilms post an edit for promotion of movie ek villian , which have all balaji leads / parallel leads like Pari nd neeti both .

But they didn't include Rishabh or Manit there .

I to now want ki Manit jaldi se yeh show quit kare dobara . Use pagal bana diya yeh kehke ki Rishabh ka accident hoga . Rishta anniversary hogi . Or bhi . Par kya pta tha use ki yeh sab sirf Arjun preeta ke liye hoga . Ab vo bechara itni asaani se quit bhi nahi kr skta phele jo kr diya hai . Contract hoga kuch na kuch .😡

Kundali had two male leads during its inception five yrs ago.

Dheeraj and manit

It was suppose to be a triangle love story between the brothers and the FL.

But prithlyn cameo extended brought major turnaround in rhe story where they joined the permanent cast and hence ruhi was paired with manit

Rishab was brought in as a lead. He was not a side character. Later on he was sidelined coz of prithlyn and preeran

It was a real foolish act from makers. They could have exposed prithlyn two yrs ago and brought back the story in track which they are only doing now after five yrs when fifty percent of their audience ran away

For three freaking yrs, they were in top three woth trps above three.

💯 True 🌝 yeh track tb laate na to abhi bhi top me rehta or kahi na kahi hme umeed bhi rehti ki Rishta possible hai . Par ab to koi umeed nahi hai . as they are completely ignoring him .

Manit was on leave. Now he is back. Plus right now Rishta don’t have any romance track toh too early to add them as couple. Twitter news is Shraddha is on leave again. So until they have the full cast they can’t move the story too.

Really not keen on rishta now. Hoping manit to get better role elsewhere with a better actress 😎

Sometimes even weak & somewhat illogical scripts can be elevated by great & nice performances.

Shakti-Manit aka Karan-Rishabh scenes come off so well. I liked their previous scenes too & to go from those tashan scenes to this, takes some talent & skills & they totally have that bro-chemistry & vibe as well.
