Actually it would be ideal to get Rishabh Preeta married and then take a leap and then bring back Karan, otherwise what you said would be true because the marriage would be null and void. A certain amount of time needs to have lapsed before your dead busband is deemed to be dead enough to not come back.

There are a few things that I have always been curious about! Karan kicked Preeta out of the house after Pihu's death, and then Preeta came back for Mahesh Uncle, Preeta hasn't worn her mangalsutra since then. Did they divorce at that point?

I saw that drunken holi scene but it did not seem as thou they slept together thou, they just seemed drunk. But you might be right.
