I completely agree with you, I also think the makers are waiting for something, I don't know a fall in TRP maybe 🤔. Rishabh apologised to Preeta and she understood him as well, indeed it is very very ODD. Nevertheless, I would like to bring up the point that Rishabh had himself brought during his drunken conversation with Sherlyn. The fact that none of the 'bade' in his family are saying anything to Karan, is not just astounding him but everyone as well.

In the beginning of the show the aspect of Rishabh's personality that I genuinely liked was the fact that he was firm about the decisions that he took for his family. He was THE 'Man of the house' as traditional terminology would describe it. But he was always confused and second guessing his own happiness all the time. I guess he knew that no matter what decision he took for his family he would be backed up by his father (or Karan or someone else). But now that his Dad is not their, and Karan being a complete nincumpoop, I guess he feels 'alone' and he understands the fact that Karan is also 'alone' and also maybe he does not want to cross the 'boundary' of interfering in the newly married 'relationship' of his brother.

p.s I ain't defending Rishabh, in fact he should have done a loooooooooooooooooooooot of things for himself in the show, but he hasn't.

Yes, it was different Rishabh at the very beginning. He was firm and strict and confident. Every member of the family (even Mahesh) accepted his decisions as final. Now nobody listen to him. Now it is him who listens everyone.

And those apologies and courtesy...🤦🏻‍♀️ I have no words for that! It looked like as if Rishabh made an excuse for being late for a date and Preeta generously apologized him. Come on! His brother deceitfully married to you, you were left by him at the middle of the road alone, you were humiliated left and right. None of this great family came to you or, at least, called to you to say sorry. Rishabh didn't as well! And now you are behaving like you invited them to your birthday party and they did not come. Trivial issues! It looks like I am angry with Preeta even more than with Karan and all the Luthras 😂

Well, the only apologise that I can find for them all (the Luthras) is the Mahesh's accident. I can (try to) imagine that they are shattered and confused and they don't realize completely the situation. But then they are shopping and partying and having fun. They are doing a great party for Karwa Chauth while the dearest son/husband/father/brother/uncle is in coma. Actually no, I can't find an excuse for them. They are awful people. Cruel and selfish.

@bold - There's no newly married relationship. That is the problem! Karan doesn't even accept the fact of his marriage. He doesn't want his wife in his life. The most ridiculous thing for me now is that the only person (except Sameer) who accepts Preeta as Karan's wife is Rishabh! Who loves Preeta! Or loved. I am confused about his feelings towards Preeta as well.

The writers have done something awkward with this show. I really hope they know what they are doing and they have a good plan for the future. If no then it will be a great flop.

Excuse me! If you're doing wrong it is a duty of people who love you to say you are wrong! To keep mum doesn't mean being on someone's side. To make you realise and correct your mistakes that means being on your side. To help you avoid wrong deeds means to be on your side.

And Rishabh agreed to that nonsense? Very very disappointing. And if it would not be a deceitful marriage but, for example, a murder? Should Rishabh be on Karan's side also and keep mum? What kind of logic is this?

I remember one of the most earliest scenes from about two years back, rakhi told rishabh that he has to be by karan's side no matter what and always. Her words were a little different to this though in that she was essentially saying that rishabh must always be on karan's side and with him no matter what karan does or what happens. The entire luthra family dismisses or white-washes karan's flaws and mistakes. 🤢

Like Rishabh says to Preeta at the diwali party. "What can I do? When it comes to Karan I can't punish him because I love him". Something like this he said. Like really? I don't understand this kind of love. It is a weakness and indifference for me.

Karan is wrong. He did an awful thing. And he thinks that he is completely right. And nobody tried to make Karan realize how wrong he is. Nobody from his family! No one! They attend the parties and do shopping only. They all are ok with Karan🤯 How cruel actually this people are! Cruel and selfish! All of them.

The luthra family are actually despicable. All a bunch of morally-flexible losers.

Not only they butchered karan, but long back they watered-down the character of the wonderfully stern and strong rishabh since sherlin-prithvi entered.

Writers have seriously screwed the show over just to accommodate sherlin-prithvi for an extensive time for ratings.

YES YES!!!! I remember that scene as well. It came precisely after Karan got Sarla Aunty bailed from jail and Rishabh thought (because of Kareena Bua) that Rakhi Aunty wanted Sarla Aunty in jail. Rakhi Aunty was very specific about Rishabh having to be with Karan no matter what.

Also during the first karwa chawth where preeta slips and while sherlin does acting of fainting it was quite symbolic as everyone went to help sherlin instead of preeta. Rishab tried to help preeta then he went to Sherman

Knowing ekta it was not symbolic on her side but the way the scene was shown and you compare to current track it is.

Looks like they understand "being on someone's side" very peculiar. They think it means to support every deed no matter how bad it is.

Yes! I was trying to remember which track it was in that she said that. Thanks for the reminder. Gosh karan is just unbearable now, but I hate what they've done to rishabh's character too. Now that mahesh is in coma, they should be showing rishabh stepping back into his older self from earlier on in the show who makes decisions and everyone listens, but instead they're showing him as so passive about everything happening around him. 🤢

Well we can all see now how preeta is being ignored and neglected despite being luthra bahu. 🤢
